Cons:

Wir haben drei Nächte im George Hotel Istanbul in Galata verbracht. Da wir spät angereist sind, war der erste Eindruck noch positiv. Am nächsten Tag wurden die Mängel jedoch deutlich.

Für den Preis ist die Sauberkeit absolut nicht akzeptabel. Im Bad lagen noch Haare von vorherigen Gästen, die Bettwäsche hatte gelbe Flecken und der Mülleimer wurde trotz Reinigung nicht geleert. Erst nachdem ich ihn mitten ins Zimmer gestellt hatte, wurde er ausgeleert. Insgesamt wirkte das Zimmer ungepflegt.

Auch die Ausstattung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Eine Lampe hing halb herunter, die Befestigung des Kronleuchters wirkte fragwürdig und der kleine Fernseher bot praktisch nur einen Sender. Die Flure sind zudem so dunkel beleuchtet, dass man kaum etwas sieht.

Schade, denn die Lage ist gut. Aufgrund der mangelnden Sauberkeit und des schlechten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses kann ich das Hotel leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Great location, beautiful view, friendly staff in boutique hotel and fun stay
Pros:

Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming, the location was fantastic, the room very comfortable, roof terrace restaurant had great view

Cons:

The photos of the room rented on Booking.com didn't correspond to the one provided - the photos were of the room next door, with much larger balcony, larger room, better view - staff tried to address, which was appreciated, but ultimately not available so meant we didn't get what thought had paid for.

great, relaxing, convenient location for short stay--
Pros:

overall ambience and decor was great and inviting design of the public spaces--
rooftop view and bar were wonderful. best French 77 I have had! professional and courteous staff-- present but not hovering.
room was lovely and spacious, balcony a nice private escape-- incredibly relaxing after busy days running around.

Cons:

sound separation between rooms could have been better-- I could hear the conversation from room next door...
ideally, a separate/not open closet area for clothing-- was only short stay so not an issue but if longer would have liked to properly unpack.
lounge off reception was great design but seemed to be empty-- maybe if more coffee, smaller bites would be an alternative for quick breakfast or afternoon coffee/cocktail to the rooftop which seemed more for meals or longer lingers

Beautifully located, highly recommend!
Pros:

Gorgeous room with partial view of the Bosporus Straight. Wonderful high ceilings, Quiet, great elevator, everything about this hotel is super great. Didn’t eat at restaurant because I found that quite expensive, but there are great restaurants up and down the street. Visit for the views though. Beautifully located right down the street from the Galata Tower!

Cons:

It would’ve been nice if the restaurant menu had less expensive offerings, especially at breakfast time.

We absolutely loved our stay at Georges Hotel Galata. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a unique atmosphere that perfectly combines history, elegance, and comfort. The location is outstanding—right in the heart of Galata, within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, cafés, and the city’s main attractions. The staff were genuinely warm, professional, and always happy to help. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet, and view is amazing , best ever had. Breakfast on the terrace with its breathtaking view was one of the highlights of our stay. Every detail made us feel welcome, and we truly enjoyed every moment.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t change a thing.

I will return to this hotel over and over again.
Pros:

Our experience was wonderful from the very moment we arrived. We were greeted by two gentlemen at the door who kindly helped us with our luggage, offered refreshments, and even a sweet treat. When they learned it was our first time in Turkey, they surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful room with a balcony and stunning sea views.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with a tea-and-coffee station and complimentary water. Breakfast was equally memorable, with breathtaking views overlooking the Bosphorus and Topkapi Palace.

The location is excellent, tucked away on a quiet side street yet only a few minutes' walk from Galata Tower. However, what truly makes this hotel special is its exceptional staff. Their warmth, knowledge, attentiveness, and genuine care set this hotel apart. They make you feel like a truly valued guest and go above and beyond to help with any request.

I would happily return again and again. Outstanding service and genuine hospitality make all the difference, and this hotel delivers both beautifully.

Cons:

There was a design fault with the shower, causing water to run onto the bathroom floor. I am unsure whether this was only in room 10 or a general fault.

Chic, welcoming hotel in fantastic hilltop Istanbul location
Pros:

The location was excellent, and the room was beautiful--as was this rest of this bijoux boutique hotel, which felt very appropriate to Istanbul, with luxurious rugs, patterned tiled floors, intricate woodwork, etc. We especially appreciated the view from our balcony. The staff were also very warm and welcoming.
