Perfect location and impeccable service

Location close to the airport and beach. Had everything we wanted and we stayed here multiple times during our trip. The staff were incredible and anticipated our every need. Highly recommended and we’d definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay in central Kuta
Pros:

I recently stayed at Sun Island Hotel & Spa Kuta and had a really lovely experience overall.

One of the things I appreciated the most was the location. The hotel is incredibly central in Kuta, which makes it super easy to get around on foot. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and little cafés all around, so you’re never far from something to do or somewhere nice to eat.

I stayed in a suite that was very spacious, bright, and comfortable. It had two TVs, which was a nice touch, and a very large bathroom with both a bathtub and a separate shower. Everything felt clean and well maintained, and it was the kind of room where you can really relax after a long day out.

Another highlight for me was the hotel restaurant, Pavos Restaurant. I genuinely enjoyed the food there and ended up having a few meals at the hotel because it was just so convenient and good. The service overall throughout the property was friendly and attentive, which always makes a big difference during a stay.

The pool area is also quite large and perfect if you want to spend some time relaxing at the hotel between outings.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Between the central location, the comfortable suite, the great service, and the good food, it’s definitely a place I would consider staying at again when visiting Kuta.

Cheap and cheerful and you get what you pay for.
Pros:

We have stayed in South Kuta many times and this time we choose to stay at Sun Island. We won’t return.
Sun Island Kuta is not four star. A three is actually generous, but only because our room is acceptable and kept clean. Bedding is good but plumbing is questionable. Nothing flash here.
Internet access is variable, there are large groups of people on conferences, and it is close to the road and noisy.
It is a basic hotel with basic amenities and it would suit people on a fairly tight budget who don’t expect a wide range of breakfast dishes and a bar that operates throughout the day.

Good location with average services
Pros:

Rooms are decent however need more attention from the housekeeping regards to cleanliness. Breakfast variety is very limited and packed breakfast was also offered with only 1 option. Location wise it's good.
