Un’atmosfera elegante, una camera deliziosa, musica classica in camera, una ottima colazione, il personale dell’albergo gentilissimo. Una giovane ragazza alta e bionda ci ha aiutanti con cortesia squisita a risolvere un problema con la macchina che non partiva. Non le ho chiesto il nome, ma lei sa.

Cons:

La camera era calda, ma le giornate sono state veramente afose, quindi immagino che non siano organizzati.
Il ristorante non è stato all’altezza delle aspettative. È un bistro stile francese con una bella atmosfera ma alcuni piccoli errori non ci hanno permesso di goderlo appieno. Il paté era servito senza pane (una scortesia che in Francia non potrebbe succedere) e i prezzi un po’ troppo alti.

A lovely boutique hotel with good parking and prime location to access Stamford & Burghley House.

A very pleasant stay.
Pros:

A good choice of food, prompt delivery of cooked breakfast and coffee. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were impressed with the Verrio suite. Our room was very clean.
Plenty of parking space and ideally located for the town and Burghley House and Park.
For us it was just a one night stopover so it was perfect being just off the A1. We would definitely return.

Cons:

The public areas of the hotel were, in places, a bit grubby/tatty.

what a gorgeous hotel! I was put in the "Wild Floral" room and I was impressed at how the staff just somehow knew I would love a very light, feminine room with flowery wallpaper and very elegant furnishings. breakfast was delicious and the hotel is just a short walk away from the main center of Stamford village (which is one of the most adorable towns I've visited!) will definitely be back for a stay at the William Cecil whenever I get the chance!

Pros:

service at the breakfast was very good.
Room was lovely and everywhere was comfortable and clean

Cons:

Only negative (only small) was bed was almost too big for the room. Very little room to walk between wall and end of the bed.
