I travelled to Saint Lucia for the first time as a solo traveller, and what started as an incredibly stressful evening turned into one of the most memorable hospitality experiences I have ever had.
Unfortunately, I had to leave the hotel I had originally booked after arriving at night and being unable to properly check in. I was scrambling to find somewhere else to stay when, thankfully, I discovered that Hotel Chocolat had availability. I booked immediately and contacted the hotel — and from that moment, everything changed.
Kailanna was AMAZING!
She immediately arranged a taxi to collect me, and within approximately 25 minutes from my initial call to arriving at the hotel, everything was perfectly prepared for me. I arrived to a welcome drink, a refreshing cold towel, and a porter already waiting with the door open to welcome me and assist with my luggage.
Everything was absolutely seamless.
What had felt like a night of complete chaos suddenly became peaceful, calm and effortless the moment I arrived at Hotel Chocolat. That transition was entirely because of the level of care and hospitality I received.
Kailanna provided one of THE most exceptional hospitality experiences I have encountered. Knowing that I had been travelling and dealing with such a difficult evening, she even asked the kitchen to remain open so that I could have dinner before going to bed.
And the next morning? I returned to my room to discover that she had arranged a beautiful birthday surprise with wine and chocolate!
Talk about a ROCKSTAR — Kailanna absolutely is one! Her customer service is outstanding, genuine and incredibly memorable. She deserves every bit of recognition — and a promotion!
My room was also exceptionally clean, neat and fully stocked. After the experience I had earlier that evening, walking into such a beautifully prepared space made me appreciate the attention to detail even more.
The rest of the Concierge team was equally wonderful. Keiffer and Krystal are absolute GEMS! They were warm, kind and incredibly helpful, ensuring that my requests were not simply met, but often exceeded — with some needs anticipated before I even had to ask.
Another moment that truly stayed with me happened one evening when I was feeling a little nauseous but decided to go to dinner. Henrietta noticed that I wasn’t feeling my best and immediately made sure I had some tea. She periodically checked on me throughout dinner, and you could tell that her concern was completely genuine.
She was patient, kind and attentive. She arranged the shuttle to take me back to my room, offered to accompany me if I preferred to walk, escorted me to the vehicle and made sure I was comfortable before I left. What touched me even more was that she checked on me again the following morning.
That is hospitality with heart.
Myles at the Pool Bar was another standout! He made my floating breakfast experience effortless and enjoyable. His service was seamless, and he consistently went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.
What impressed me most about Hotel Chocolat is that the hospitality here never felt rehearsed or transactional. You can genuinely tell that these individuals aren’t simply working in hospitality for a paycheck — hospitality seems to be part of who they authentically are.
There is a warmth, sincerity and genuine desire to care for guests that is difficult to teach.
As a woman travelling alone, feeling safe and comfortable was incredibly important to me. At Hotel Chocolat, I felt completely at ease. In only three days, I somehow went from being a solo traveller arriving after a stressful experience to feeling as though I had found a second home — and even a little Saint Lucian family. 🥹❤️
Even upon checkout, Manager Marguerite was an absolute sweetheart and added another warm touch to the end of my stay.
This wasn’t simply a hotel stay for me. It was a genuinely wholesome hospitality experience that I will remember for a very long time.
To Kailanna, Keiffer, Krystal, Henrietta, Myles, Marguerite and the entire Hotel Chocolat team — thank you for turning what began as an incredibly difficult night into such a beautiful birthday experience.
⭐️ 1000/10. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
If you’re considering Hotel Chocolat in Saint Lucia, BOOK IT! ❤️
I am writing this review because I had some communication issues with reservations prior to my stay but everything was resolved satisfactorily. My concerns were addressed by Bernaby the manager who was accommodating and listened carefully and acted quickly. Every member of staff was flawless in their attention and professionalism. The food was exceptional, the eco-friendly villas are beautiful with a rain shower and great views. The chocolate-making experience is a must and we enjoyed the floating breakfast and Krystal was patient and took lots of photos. Thanks to the staff including the spa ladies who have the best massages, for a beautiful and memorable stay. Our waiting staff, bar staff and reception, thank you. Quality, eco-friendly yet luxurious, stunning views of the Pitons throughout the property and friendly, professional staff. The entire experience more than made up for my initial concerns.
While I try to understand the open to nature concept, which is what I believe they’re doing. The facility needs to do a greater job with mosquito control. The bed had a net, however mosquitoes were inside the net. The insect repellant available in the room didn’t do much to prevent the mosquitoes bites we suffered from all night. We had to fully cover ourselves under the sheets despite the heat, only to avoid the bites. The opened to nature concept also allowed for us to find droppings from birds and lizards throughout the room, which wasn’t all that great. I’m happy we didn’t stay here more than a night, as I’m not sure how we would’ve coped with this. Especially the mosquitoes issue, which was our biggest problem. Given that the net provided still didn’t prevent mosquitoes from getting to us. We could actually see mosquitoes flying on the inside of the net. With such an opened room concept, I truly believe more needs to be done to reduce the amount of mosquitoes inside the rooms.
The ambiance: Exceptional! The service: Phenomenal! Value for money: Absolutely worth it! Quality of food and drinks: World class and authentic! Big up to the restaurant service team including Crystal with memorable and authentic personalities and exceptional service! Restaurant management and front desk team were the creme de la creme! My birthday experience was phenomenal! Will I recommend to other guests and return some day? DEFINITELY! Checked in on the 10th of June for two nights. I finally made time to write this review. This is not AI or a paid review haha! Merci team Rabot! The experience was amazing, eco-friendly, a getaway from the world and reconnecting with all that matters! It was a great decision to choose to stay with yall!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat is one of the most unique hotel experiences I’ve had. Nestled in the lush hills of Soufrière, the property offers breathtaking views of the Pitons and an atmosphere that feels peaceful, private, and completely immersed in nature.
The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. One of the highlights was experiencing the property’s connection to chocolate—from the cacao growing on-site to the various chocolate-inspired experiences available to guests.
The rooms are designed to embrace the surrounding landscape, allowing guests to disconnect and truly appreciate the beauty of Saint Lucia. The views alone are worth the stay, especially at sunrise and sunset.
The food was thoughtfully prepared, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and the overall experience felt authentic rather than overly commercialized. If you’re looking for a resort that offers something different from a traditional beachfront stay, Rabot Hotel delivers an unforgettable experience.
It’s literally in the middle of the jungle, with the most amazing view of the petit piton. Everything is perfect in this suspended paradise! The food at the restaurant is quite innovative, you can taste that everything is fresh and made from scratch. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Being in the middle of the jungle means nights can be noisy. We loved it, and the hotel provided earplugs but that something to note.
We enjoyed our honeymoon at Hotel Chocolat. Food is 10 out of 10. Views are amazing. We had the luxe lodge and definitely recommend for couples. The verandah space is worth it. We looked forward to the daily delicious breakfast and chocolate truffles in our room mini bar. I miss it already and would love to go back again. Staff and concierge was amazing. Also booking anything from excursions or just a taxi was so easy. Location is very convenient if you want to be close to all the attractions and access to restaurants or nearby beaches.
Lunch at Rabot is an experience on its' own!
The ambiance is super chill and classy at the same time. Their Soursop Mocktail in champagne flute is a sparkling dream. Amazing Breadfruut Balls and Salt Fish Fritters. Rice...oh wow. Vegetables like a painting and crispy. The Chocolate Ravioli unique. Then the desserts....... the Chocolate Creme Brulee and Chocolate Tiramisu were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I wanted to take home a tub of each, along with the lovely pastry chef!.
Room was small with no view or aircon
Service at breakfast was glacial
The food and drinks are very expensive and priced in us$
The fish was overcooked
Noisy road
Over priced and average quality
This is an incredible place and great experience. From the food, location, staff friendliness, staff welcoming, nature experience, it’s a real tropical rainforest and experience that must be on the bucket list.
AMAZING !!
Stayed with my husband for 4 nights.
From start to end the staff, food and accommodation have been so so good.
The staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms clean and well equipped, food and service are the best we’ve had. Nothing is to much trouble.
The rooms are open to the elements which is an experience in itself.
We did the tour of the farm, it’s a definite must. We made our own chocolate bars. John was our guide and he was great. Loads of information.
Stayed here 2 nights in May 2026 and honestly blown away. Room was spotless — like, white-glove clean. Staff went out of their way to help, restaurant had incredible food — everything was perfect — and the views at the pool are unreal. Would book again in a heartbeat. Great for couples or anyone who wants to feel pampered.
The scenery and the pool were out of this world, and the fact that you get to stay in the middle of a forest, hearing its sounds, is also amazing.
The restaurant has a poor menu, lacking of variety and only Cacau based dishes. In the beginning is nice, maybe for one meal, not for all. Additionally, most part of the staff (hotel and restaurant) looked angry, almost like you’re doing something wrong.
It was ok, the view was the best bit. The food itself was ok, but I honestly think we ate better elsewhere this week. It was reasonably priced and the staff felt friendly.
The hotel is gorgeous and the location is amazing but you are limited in choices to eat and drink around the resort, unless you take a taxi, which the resort is happy to arrange. The rooms are very lovely and comfortable and open to the elements which is lovely. This place would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast! We paid for B&B but the 'complimentary' breakfast was literally a plate with 2 bananas, a slice of melon and a smoothie shot. Everything else we had to pay for and it was very expensive!!
The staff were mostly very friendly.
If you're happy to not wonder far you will love this place but we would have preferred to be able to walk into town
The hotel is amazing, the rooms are immersed in nature and wildlife as well as being beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and also the restaurant for dinner was definitely one of the best in the island. The service in the restaurant is quite slow, which it’s actually nice to be slower on holiday. Definitely recommended.
The Jungle feel and the lodges were excellent. Fantastic view from pool & restaurant.
Limited smaller food options, only full meals.
