Great location.
Very clean and well maintained, a credit to the room staff.
Location. The bathroom was really nice too.
Pool area and verandah/stairs could use a bit of renovation/jazzing up.
It was a convenient place to stop for the night.

Lovely spot close to all attractions in the village. Side access to rooms is available when reception closes for the evening. Parking available close to our room (however this has the potential to be limited in peak season). Rooms are quiet and mostly private and if staying on the upper floors you can see the church, mountains and lake over the surrounding buildings.
Bathroom door in our room didn’t quite shut as the door had either swelled from moisture or was framed incorrectly. This wasn’t a major issue with husband/wife sharing the room.
Balcony on the upper floor is shared amongst all residents from their rooms, meaning we had other travellers walking past our room and peering in as the passed unexpectedly shortly after we arrived-the curtains were quickly drawn.
So central, staff were a pleasure to deal with.

Good location in town.
We didn't get enough towels for the 3 of us. Older style rooms. There is no fan in the bathroom. Heater is right in front of bed 3.
The bar staff are friendly and the Nahos were nice
Bed springs jab you in the back.
It’s noisey, you can hear people in the opposite room clearly, the hallway is dark.
They have a curfew for the front door and you’ll have to find another way in after 9ish.
They wouldn’t serve dinner because a rugby game was on so only bar snacks
The location of the Godley was great - week had a "lake view" room and the view was stunning!
The room was clean and comfortable (as you would expect), I particularly liked that there was two luggage racks - a number of motels we have stayed in, have only had one, and/or sometimes none.... and the staff were lovely.
We were pleasantly surprised with the discount the guests recieved at the Jack Rabbit restaurant - which had amazing food and staff - special shout out to our waiters Blair and Eron ( I hope I got the spelling right) - you guys rock!!
We had two breakfasts and two dinners at the restaurant and all four meals were the best.
