The hotel is 4 star not 5 as mentioned in booking.. the place smells bad, the room was so dirty (hair on my bed) and the bathroom is just another level of disgust.
Room service called me while I’m asleep telling me that we will close now so I should order..
Everything
Mr Shankar as guest relations was kind enough to invite to sundowner tea and drinks but unfortunately there was no Sunset to see. Breakfast and dinner buffet were average with good choices but lack of taste. Only dinner dal was great. The server didn’t know how to open a sparkling wine bottle and flute glasses required for a five star service.
The rooms are old and lack sound proofing you can hear people walking around even at 1am midnight. The spa, reception and front office staff was horrible especially Ms Renu during check out made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. She refused to assist with taxi and allow us to use jacuzzi before checkout.
Location, food and staff
Rooms
The location
The hotel is cleverly designed so that the majority of rooms face out across the valley towards the Himalayas. The views are brilliant and the roof top sundowners is a nice touch.
Maybe some more knowledge and support with local walks, staff were supportive but not knowledgeable.
Incredible hospitality and views, regardless of the monsoon mists. The hospitality in the restaurant was amazing, as was the food! Highly recommend!
Monsoon period does bring mist and fog, but it will not effect the quality of the hospitality and hotel.
Nothing
Firstly why have they put a swimming pool next to the restaurant. You try and enjoy your food and all you can hear is screaming children in the pool then parents come and lean over your table while looking in the pool. Then during evening meal 4 times I was relocated by different staff saying the table isnt available. It felt like I was playing musical chairs. After that we decided to take the food to the room as we was annoyed. Next morning I was woken at 5am by staff knocking my door.
This experience was terrible from start to finish
Location is really nice and the view as well! Stuff was really kind and willing to provide anything! The hotel at the main area was beautiful and the food buffet amazing!! Thank you for everything!
The price for this room could be less than that!
Location and property design
Poor service. In my 2 days stay, water supply went off 3 times and each time there wasnt any response on calling the room.service. i had to actually walk down and tell reception to resolve it. This wasn't an experience and service quality yoy expect in a 5 star.
Amazing experience. Superb food and service.
Leaving so soon. Should have stayed longer
I've stayed here twice. The facilities are great; well equipped for a relaxing weekend away. There are so many little nooks and spaces in which to enjoy a cold drink and some contemplation, surrounded by forest and mountains. The menu is diverse and delicious, although I'd be wary of the pork. The breakfast spread was also terrific. The spa is definitely worth a visit; the masseuse is very capable and I left feeling a million bucks.
The pool was cold; like ice cold. We were told this is because it's summer, although it was the same the first time I visited in November. All signs would indicate that it is meant to be heated and likely doesn't work. I also wouldn't recommend going in the wet season. While a beautiful place, the view was completely obscured by cloud and mist. I understand they also burn off the harvested wheat fields in May, which only added to the issue. We couldn't see either the sunrise or sunset, let alone the Himalayas, which is much of the reason to visit.
Food was the best. This was my second stay and the only reason because of food and their services.
Personel souriant
L'environnement sonore est excessif et ne favorise pas la sérénité. La clientèle est bruyante.
The rooftop, both in the morning and in the evening, had complimentary local tea and treats, and they would bbq in the evening. The restaurant was very good. The local birds at dawn make beautiful sounds.
We originally booked a triple room, but the hotel kindly upgraded us to a junior suite. It was spacious, with an amazing balcony featuring a bed and a jacuzzi. The hotel also offers a buffet, and the food was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time at the hotel.
