Staffing Newcastle are normally friendly and helpful.
This time there was an air of irritation - an unwillingness to be helpful. Pulling a face but doing it anyway - that sort of thing.
Just not used to it at Newcastle.
Housekeeping knocking on my door at 9.25am….. I said I would check-out after breakfast which finished at 10.30am…. So just “why?”

Coffee machine dishes out the usual ( from these awful machines appearing in so many hotels)…..awful coffee!
Real warmth was not there in staff - got hire car - picked up suitcases helped ( eventually after female telling me over and over shy she couldn’t…recovering from a broken arm…. Dismissing my cancer-damaged arm; permanent disability…). by a male member of staff….who was very pleasant.
I then drove to the barrier - it would not go up. Jobsworth tone on the communication channel…. “Did you register the car in registration? - you have to do that to be able to leave”Give me a break!!! Em….. since that lady was on the counter when I came in for my cases and she knew it was a hire car…. Could she not have mentioned it? That is what I mean…… like I should have known! Why?

Liked that it was convenient for the airport we didnt have breakfast because of early flight. Tea and coffee with cookies provided were good.
Thought the price was a little too much .the rooms are looking a little dated our head board had peeled .

Nothing. It was absolutely the worst stay we have had anywhere, if it was not so late we would have seeked another accomodation.
It was terrible. I am seeking a full refund, stains on the netting, a headboard that looked like it came from a squatters bedroom, carpets ripped and damaged furniture. No directions to room just "your on the 2nd floor" cold breakfast with bacon all stuck together so middle ones were raw spoons not cleaned and lids with toilet rolls around handles for protection, I think guests need protection from the food rather than the heat, terrible.

I booked 2 rooms and 1 room was perfect the other was shocking
Broken toilet, Leak in the bathroom. I booked 2 premier rooms and the 2nd room was not premier. No toiletries, not slippers and robe, nothing like room 1 yet we paid the same amount

Habe ein Upgrade vorgenommen. Das Bett war groß und die Matratze gut. Das Wellnesspaket wurde noch hastig auf das Bett geschmissen, als wir bereits auf dem Zimmer waren. Die Lederumrandung am Kopf des Bettes war ziemlich zerkratzt, der Schrank in dem sich der Safe befindet ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, die Türen hingen und schlossen nicht mehr richtig. Die Tür zum Bad war mit einer eingelassenen Milchglaswand versehen. Wenn das Licht im Bad angeschaltet wurde, war es im Zimmer taghell.
Schade, dass das Fenster nicht zu öffnen war und man auf die Klimaanlage angewiesen war.
Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und die Auswahl gut.
Die Lage zum Flughafen perfekt.
Für 180 Pfund hätte ich aber trotzdem mehr erwartet.
