Bit tired, the room we stayed in was The Weston. We were subjected to night noise a few times it also had ugly exposed pipes in the room.

Beautiful location.
Pros:

Beautiful location, staff were friendly and the bedroom was very clean. The beds were so comfortable.

Cons:

The only complain I had was we only got one towel for the double room. We did ask at reception for another towel and we were told someone would bring one up but they didn't. It was a small thing but not what you expect.

Average and the rooms were tired.
Cons:

Heater was difficult to work and the towel rail did not work.

It was directly under the flight path so very noisy.

Very basic coffee and only English breakfast tea.

A hidden gem
Pros:

I had a really good stay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms in the coach house are new, spacious and comfortable. It’s nice to find a hotel with original features and spacious grounds. It’s easy to forget how close to the city you are.

The room and breakfast was nice
Pros:

Cute room and lovely property

Cons:

Lots of noise in the night. Dragging what sounded like bottle skips through the grounds after midnight several times. Poor night’s sleep.
Some of the staff seemed stressed and came across rude at the bar.

Beautiful Jacobean manor with plenty of character and beautiful grounds.
Pros:

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Lovely superior suite. Clean, comfortable stay. Breakfast was lovely too. I liked the character of the property and the beautiful grounds.

Cons:

Only negative point was we could hear flights through the night as obviously close to airport and only single pane windows in our room. Otherwise it was brilliant value for money and a really lovely stay with lovely staff.

Ok but wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

Lovely hotel and breakfast. Location excellent for NEC Birmingham.

Cons:

Walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on next door. We stayed the weekend of a wedding which was noisy until midnight. There was also a mother of the bride shouting at the receptionist which wasn’t nice to see.

Met need for this visit
Pros:

The building was lovely.

Cons:

Small things that could be easily remedied. Bottle of wine at dinner plonked on table unopened or poured. Cutlery and glasses cheap and unpleasant to use.
Staff were functional but disinterested. Breakfast was plentiful but orange juice was watered down and bacon had congealed fat on it.
