Below average , disappointing. Not sure where the high score came from
Pros:

The location was perfect . Bed was comfortable.
Good breakfast , fresh parking

Cons:

We paid a lot of money I guess prices hiked up because of concerts . We would have liked a few touches to make it feel nicer … such as bigger towels , better jams and marmalade at breakfast not just bookers budget range, same in the rooms just upgrade tea and coffee and toiletries . The room needed a paint , public areas needed a hoover , breakfast room needs a new carpet.Not much of a welcome when checking in and saw the same guy the next day and he asked if we were checking in ! When we checked out just goodbye . No how was your stay , have a safe journey home . As I say small touches make such a difference

Brilliant all round
Pros:

Last minute booking due to car troubles 150 miles from home. Car parked locked at night for extra security.
Top floor room, updated with hints of history, bed was really comfy room was overall perfect. Breakfast was lovely lots of options and the politest of staff. Highly recommend staying at Lincoln house hotel when you’re next in Cardiff.

Quaint hotel, great location
Pros:

Cons:

Whilst the overall cleanliness of the room was ok, the blades on the fan had a heavy coating of dust..during the current heatwave, we were happy to have the fan but had to clean it first.
Inside the wardrobe and drawers were dusty too.

Clear details regarding parking would allow an informed decision and prevent dissatisfaction.
Pros:

Spacious. Good location. Great breakfast.

Cons:

Parking situation. We booked this property on the grounds free parking was stated to be included. On arrival we were advised there wasn’t any parking & was met with an ambivalent attitude by one particular member of staff.

There were three spaces onsite blocked by cones.
After a 7 hour drive my husband found a space over a mile away and walked back.

I was informed should have booked parking in advance. Terms and conditions state that reservation of parking is not possible.
After returning to reception and showing the booking stated free parking I was informed there was a space after all.

My husband walked the mile back to retrieve the car. In the onsite car park a couple informed me they were staying at another hotel and had reserved and paid for a space via an app a few hours back.

Unacceptable arrangements and not a good start to our stay.

Fab location, fab staff and lovely comfortable rooms.
Pros:

Wonderful staff and great communication. We arrived late due to train delays and the night manager was so accommodating and helpful. The room was lovely and the breakfast was plentiful. The day receptionist was also so helpful and stored our suitcase for a few hours after check-out while we explored. The location was fab, just next to Bute Park so close to everything. Highly recommend!

Would go again if price was right.
Pros:

Liked the room and high ceilings. Quiet location.

Cons:

Pity about the public bit outside property which was overflowing but this outside their control.
Loose tap in bathroom.

No parking unless booked direct with hotel there were spaces but we were told we could not use them as they were allocated on a first come first served basis but despite being early they were only for people who had booked direct. We only booked the hotel because it advertised that parking was included
A complimentary bottle of water would be good given the price of the booking

My go to stay in Cardiff
Pros:

Friendly staff, private parking, close to bus station if you want to leave the car and travel to city centre. Also close to the best italian restaurant in Wales and park :)

Pros:

Das Zimmer 310 lag zum Parkplatz und war daher super ruhig, fussläufig zum Castle, Pubs und ein Top italienisches Restaurant nebenan.
Kostenloser Parkplatz ist auch ideal
