Basic to the point of being a homeless unit. Staff were nice and friendly but not able to be helpful.
Pros:

Location was practical. Ample parking. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

A twin room was requested but I ended up having to share a small double bed with my 80-year-old father. The bed base was broken and the mattress was weak and soft to the point of feeling every spring in my back. No other room was available. We ended up having to buy airbeds to sleep on for the rest of the stay.
Only on waking after our first night, did I notice that only one towel and cup had been provided. I went to Reception and rang the bell but no staff arrived. We ended up having to share a towel.
The room door was not secure, it could be opened with the slightest pressure. The single Yale lock had clearly been forced previously and the door frame was split. We had to take all valuables with us every time he left the room.

Another pleasant stay
Pros:

For an Formula One weekend the cost was unbelievable. I've stopped here before and knew what to expect, it didn't disappoint.

Parking tight but manageable, room clean, plenty of pressure from the shower and bed was comfortable enough.

What more do you need?

Cons:

Set your expectations to the price point. This is not a luxury hotel.

No air-conditioning, but an old hotel in a rare British heatwave, you just do what you can.

Although a cheap stay. Definitely not worth it
Pros:

Central to Rugby high street

Cons:

The building is seriously lacking. Although the staff were friendly it doesn't make up for the state of the hotel. Large hole in the bathroom door (which also did not lock or close properly. Water pressure was terrible, so was unable to take a shower and on a weekend where the weather was warming up, no cold water! Was tepid at best, so not able to have a glass of water. What appeared to be burns in the bath tub. No fridge, which is a bit of an inconvenience as most hotel rooms usually come with at least a mini fridge. Tea tray consisted of cups, a glass, 2 coffees, 2 tea bags, 2 sugars..........and a fork!
All the furniture was mismatched and in very poor condition. Room desperately needed a paint
Then there were the smells in the corridors ranging from stale smoke to urine.

Very poor experience
Pros:

Absolutely nothing

Cons:

Hotel very old. Needs a lot of renovation. Its like a Blackpool hotel. We didn't have any towels in our room,so asked. They said they was a delay because the dryer had broken down but they would deliver us towels to our room. They never arrived. The beds where appalling. Miss match cups and glasses. There is no lifts, lots of stairs. A large restaurant, but not sure what the food was like, because we felt we couldn't eat there due to the state of the hotel. Security was dreadful. We arrived back at the hotel at 1am after a family party and found the hotel completely open with no security or anyone on reception. I paid £67.50 for the night. This was disgusting due to the state of the hotel and bedrooms. Please keep well clear of this hotel.

the cheap price reflected my stay , it was habitable
Pros:

I enjoyed the price of the room at the short notice i booked it.

Cons:

The upkeep and cleanliness of the whole place was just a mess , shabby and felt rushed to turn it around , the grounds and carpark were messy and rubbish every where , the hallways were dirty , the bathroom in my room had these weird flimsy adhesive tiles on the floor stuck down by what seemed like a 5 year old as they were all old and peeling up , the walls in the room were like stained with water marks , cobwebs and dust every where , the only thing that seemed clean was the bleach that was just thrown in the toilet bowl. Im really not sure if they have hired staff or just somebody who changes the bedding? EDIT after seeing the response from the owner it does seem to be a recurring theme and reply , the issues i highlighted from my trip have been an issue for quite some time , do you not feel the need to clean or fix basic issues?

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in
Pros:

Location was ok

Cons:

Bed mattress was so old and warn out the coil springs had perforated the protective barrier sheet causing injury. The floor was sticky and the carpet rug was filthy . TV didn't work and the receptionist refused to give us a room fan despite the room temperature being 25+ degrees. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in!

Pros:

Staff were friendly and I was checked in quickly.

Cons:

I stayed in room 12, The room I was given was not worth the money I paid. It was definitely overpriced for what I received and given the issues of the room. There was no cold water in the bathroom sink or the shower, the temperatures were high due to the heatwave so I hoped to have a cool shower this wasn’t possible. The bathroom floor was extremely hot and I couldn’t stand on it bare foot, Im not sure why this was, the toilet seat was also very hot when I used the toilet, this made the room extremely hot even with having the window open. There was no access to a fan in the room, which made ventilation very poor. There were also stains on the bed sheet. The light above the bed was broken and wasn’t fixed to wall properly. The TV worked perfectly, however, the TV remote didnt work, There were batteries in the remote but it still wouldn’t work, I assume the batteries were not working so in order to use the TV I had to use the buttons on the side of the TV. I paid for 2 nights, unfortunately due to no access to cold water in the room and poor ventilation I decided to only stay one night and leave the next day.

Pros:

The location is perfect, the hotel will be lovely once the new owners refurbish it as its very old fashioned at the minute.

Cons:

The mattress was appalling. Springs popped out of the sides and up through everywhere, something from the 1960s.
