Traditional seaside hotel.
Pros:

Old fanshioned traditional hotel. Lady owner was very polite and professional on reception. Single room was small but clean and comfortable for my 1 night stay. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment but location is excellent I will definitely rebook when staying in Southport.

Cons:

Everything was fine.

Needs updating
Pros:

I've got to say I was a little disappointed with this B&B/Hotel, but I suppose i should have read the reviews beforehand haha. The rooms look OK at first, if a little dated, but the more you investigate the worse it is. There were cobwebs, mold and stains on the sheets.

Fortunately the staff made it a bit better as they were so friendly and the £5 breakfast was lovely!

Unfortunately though, after a poor night's sleep on an uncomfortable bed, we won't be making a return.

It definitely needs a little sprucing up and cleaning. If the mattresses were replaced with new one and the rooms were cleaned then it would be a lovely place.

Not a 5 star but worth what we paid
Pros:

Absolutely ideal for dogs, patio doors straight into the garden which had plenty of sunshine.
Comfortable beds, and good power in the shower.... The hotel is tired looking and a refurb would benefit but for what we paid we couldn't complain..... Side note soft drinks , stubby beers and snacks in the fridge are very expensive plus I would advise you take a pic of what is actually in and outside the fridge 😬😂

Cons:

I'll just say lack of communication!

Awful place
Pros:

This hotel is extremely dirty. It is very run down. The bed linen is at 20 years old judging by the decor and the pillows are stained and lumpy. The entire place make my skin itch and l mean literally

A peaceful and relaxing weekend
Pros:

We had a lovely stay and found all the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. On arrival, we were shown to our room and given a tour of the garden, which was especially useful as we were travelling with our dog. It's great to find somewhere that's both dog- and cat-friendly!
Our room was on the second floor. As there isn't a lift, the staff kindly mentioned that we could request a lower-floor room next time because of our mobility issues, which was much appreciated. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Although the décor is a little dated, it was well maintained, and cleanliness is far more important to us.

We had breakfast every morning, and it was excellent value for money. Our dog even received a sausage each day, which was a lovely touch! 😁

The hotel is around a 10–15 minute walk from the main street, and there's a large park just a few minutes away, making it ideal if you're travelling with a dog.

We'll definitely be booking again and are already looking forward to returning to Southport, seeing the wonderful staff, and enjoying the local sights once more.
