A good modern property in the heart of the town

Went to the Tavern Hotel for our 47th anniversary using their "Sip and Stay" package for 2 nights. We were not disappointed. The King deluxe room was perfect! The cleanliness, decor and overall ambience of room was very pleasing. They even left a box of decadent chocolates in our room :-) Hotel staff were incredible and they texted you in the AM asking if they could help with you with making plans for the day. Used this service a few times. Felt like we had a personal concierge without having to leave the room. The package included 2 complimentary "welcome" drinks at the Tavern Inn, a $50 gift card to Nic's Italian and Crab Restaurant, 4 gift cards for breakfast at The Cremora Cafe, and passes for free Wine Sampling at one of the 3 nearby wineries. All within walking distance from the hotel. The Tavern Inn restaurant had a wide variety of selections, specials and drinks. The food at Nic's was fantastic! Hubby had Alaskan King Crab and I had baked ziti - a great celebratory anniversary dinner!!! The Cremora has a wonderful selection of breakfast (or lunch) with what seem to be "farm to table" fresh foods. We also took a day to ride the Verde Canyon Railroad. Strongly encouraged! It was the perfect getaway, and we would recommend anyone going to Cottonwood, to consider staying at the Tavern Hotel. We look forward to our next stay there!

I recently stayed at this boutique hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Although I initially chose it for its affordable rates, the atmosphere, exceptional service, and overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful hotel, located write in the heart of old town Cottonwood! Tavern Hotel had amazing views from our room, which was spacious while still maintaining a cozy small town feel. We were there for just a quick romantic getaway but would absolutely stay again with friends, family or anyone wanting to spend some time exploring the area! Loved the freebies to local spots, recommendations for things to do and places to see and friendly and helpful staff. If you are looking for a place to stay in Cottonwood, this is it!

The Tavern Hotel has an exceptional vibe, the design and spotless rooms are very appealing. It is the hub to excellent restaurants, wine tasting and shops in the town. We enjoyed all of that plus it’s a short drive to the unique town of Jerome and to the state park with beautiful lagoons for hiking and fishing. The two day stay with coupons for food and wine makes for a perfect getaway!

Beds were very comfortable an location great

Exceptional hotel in small town. If decor is your jam - this hotel is very unique. Room was clean comfortable and welcoming. This is a gem ! Restaurant is also very happening place with excellent food and service. Park your car and walk to shops and restaurant.

This hotel is an absolute gem in Cottonwood. Right in the middle of town, with probably 10 restaurants and at least three winery tasting rooms within three blocks. Also boutiques and speciality stores to visit. The hotel is nicely decorated, with comfortable rooms, and very clean. Hotel desk staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. Just a very contemporary feel in a historic building.

The Tavern was our favorite hotel on this trip. Not only was our room and bath lovely, comfortable and clean as a pin, the 24-hour front desk was kind and really there. We loved the location near the old town shops. A real treat was the Gift Cards we used for meals and drinks at the nearby Crema Craft Kitchen and Tavern Grill. Their service and food selections were great. We would stay here again for sure.

We ran off for our anniversary to enjoy some wine and food and this was a great base to work from. We stayed here and went for float pod time in Sedona and then wine and dinner in Jerome. The hotel itself was great with a big room with a big bathroom and its own balcony with chairs. The room was comfortable and quiet. The grounds have a nice feel to them too with plenty of useable common areas such as a fire pit. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would happily go back again.
