Pros:

Our room was huge and very comfortable, the breakfast had a good selection, staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend. Not the newest hotel, but had everything we needed.

Would NOT recommend :(
Pros:

- Location: The hotel was close to the Xin Anhe train station (the red line), about a 5 mins walk. Please note: Xinyi Anhe Station is often prone to being the terminal station, meaning you get off and wait for the next train to arrive. You don't wait long but its more of an inconvenience fyi.
- Large modern, HD TV

Cons:

Staff - The staff seemed really cold and unwelcoming. Especially my check-in arrival. Whenever I walked past reception or asked them questions it felt really terse and awkward. No hello, or even a goodbye when I was leaving. Felt so unwelcomed.
Cleanliness - Dusty, stains on the curtains (one looked like blood). Refer to pictures.
Room/facilities - Very outdated and just did not feel nice at all. Cracked interiors. Holes in the curtain and no liner either. So no privacy either if you opened the curtains.

Best hotel staffs for me!
Pros:

The hotel really stands on its name. Charming and elegant. It’s on the order side, and the room hallway has a musty smell but once you’re in your room, it is fine. Slightly older and old school but the room is large and comfortable. I do have the say the highlight of the trip was when I asked them where to find their fried vermicelli breakfast dish, the pantry lady overheard and said that she’ll cook for me. So, on my birthday, I had the nicest beehoon! The lady even gave me a sandwich and the staffs later gave me a snack and beer’s plate! How sweet of them!

Cons:

The must hallway but they do have those machines trying its best to constantly dry up the air.

A very comfortable stay. I would return
Pros:

Excellent location, comfortable room, efficient kind staff. The rooms are a good size, well organised and clean. The bed is comfortable with a good night sleep. The staff are very efficient. I enjoyed my stay.

Cons:

Just a minor issue with no bedside switch. Lights contolled from room entrance with hotel card.

Go somewhere else.
Pros:

The location is good. It has laundry machines downstairs. My room was quiet.

Cons:

This place may have been nice at some point, but it really needs a major renovation now. It is old and worn out. It reminds me of an old dormitory. At least a paint job, new clean rugs, a facelift for the interior of the elevators, better lighting in the halls. I also found a shape of my room disconcerting. It was a strange layout.
