The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. I have specific dietary requirements and they were well prepared to deal with it as well as very adaptable.
They had great advance communication so we could prepare and book a table for the evening.
The bed was amazing, so comfy! We went for the large bed, and we had a good night sleep.
The view from our bedroom was stunning, even our dog was staring into the distance. It is very calming.
They are very dog friendly, a little treat for our dog and he could come with us for dinner too.
The shower pressure is low.
The server at breakfast was very friendly and humorous, she really made our day
The toilet cover doesn’t fit, it was way too big and doesn’t stand well
Beautiful hidden gem of a hotel with stunning views.
Sue the owner was lovely and a scouser like us 😊 home cooking at it's best and Dan the young waiter was lovely and really friendly.
We are already planning our next stay at this beautiful place
Lovely room & very nice food, enjoyable stay & dog friendly.
Exactly as described - a lovely little place to stay.
Nothing really, as expected.
Lovely location and view. An area to exercise our dog but not what I would call ‘idyllic gardens’.
Room overlooking the patio. Very tired but had everything we needed. Bar closed at 10 but two nights in a row it was very noisy until 11.30 and the next night, 1am! One of the reasons we booked was because it said the hotel offered a ‘sense of peace’ and ‘respite’ with a ‘calm and relaxing atmosphere’. Once we spoke to the owner, the next two nights were fine. Housekeeping was hit and miss. Bed not made properly for two days and then beautifully made on the third day! Went early on the last day (8am) and no one was there to check us out! Everything was locked up! Not sure why! A shame as the location is lovely.
Called in for an evening meal two days on the run whilst staying at the campsite just up the road. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was beautiful. The views from the patio were awesome. Thank you so much, it was a lovely experience.
Everything
It’s a bit of a walk to next pub
What a fabulous weekend we have just had. So friendly and welcoming to us and our little dog. Great food at really good prices and all with views to die for. Spacious bedroom with a lovely modern bathroom and again with amazing views. Can't wait to come back and see you all.
Great view, beds and hosts! Room was fine. Brekky I had to take on the go as a packed sandwich as serving started quite late at 8.30am. Good value for the area.
Stunning location with amazing views, nice big airy room and comfy bed, excellent breakfasts and warm and friendly hosts. Only a 15 minute walk into beautiful Cartmel. Oh the ale is very good too. Would definitely recommend.
