Ok hotel not too far from the town center
Pros:

Nice location 10 minutes walk from the town center

Cons:

Room was not clean, i.e. the chairs were not clean and mold in the wardrobe. Bathroom fan was extremely noisy. Iron was dirty and nearly damaged my cloths. Breakfast was OK but out of basic items like bananas early in service, scrambled eggs were very poor, and service was slow. Staff were ok but some of the receptionists were not that enthusiastic to help.

Exceeded our Expectations - WONDERFUL STAFF!
Pros:

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. We arrived after 9 p.m., and even though the kitchen had just closed, they generously offered to make us something to eat, which we really appreciated.
The breakfast was delicious, and our apartment was huge, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We had such a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Wonderful hotel and truly great staff!

Cons:

One of the rooms smelled a bit like cigarette smoke.

Very good hotel inside Centre of Athlone
Pros:

Nice looking hotel inside and out. If you’re looking for a room with a view you will be disappointed- however the hotel is very clean, spacious with an excellent car park, we had 8 motorbikes with us.

Hotel seemed very quiet during the night which we really wanted and appreciated.

The rooms were big, very comfortable and pretty well equipped.

The breakfast was very good, a buffet style.

Coffee machine made nice coffee.

The service at breakfast from all staff was excellent 👍

The location is excellent for a stay in Athlone - walking distance to anywhere in the town.

Cons:

Check in staff could have been more pleasant, seemed a bit indifferent to guests.
