The staff at this hotel is exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. It is right across from an underground stop and is within walking distance of many of the top sights in London (Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye, St. James Park). We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food was wonderful. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, and clean.

We stayed during our wedding anniversary and were very well taken care of. Staff and management went out of their way to ensure a great experience
Oh dear, what can the matter be London Conrad St James? I used to come here regularly for afternoon teas and Sunday brunches but unfortunately the standard has declined significantly. There are numerous reasons why this is the case. The choice of tea is extremely poor - only two black teas and one of these being Earl Grey. The ambiance is terrible - there was only one other couple in the lounge. There used to be a harpist - now it’s piped music. No change of tea was allowed and the scones, cakes and sandwiches were all mediocre. I had to constantly remind the waiter to replenish by tea (it took 34 minutes at one stage) and the champagne (which took 19 minutes) at another.
These type of things simply don’t happen at Claridges and London Conrad St James could learn a thing or two from this hotel!
The manager was very understanding and waived the charge but I don’t think I’ll be back. A sad decline all round. It’s back to Claridges in future! Attention to detail there is spot on!
I love staying at the Conrad London St James Hotel. It is located directly across from the St James Park tube station, near Westminster, Victoria, St James' Park and Buckingham Palace. Every hotel can be nice, have lovely rooms and good food. The difference at the Conrad is the staff. They are always welcoming, polite, helpful and are sincere in their interest. I would especially like to mention Peter in the Executive Lounge, Ardit the concierge, Jamal at the door, John and Ubi in the Hedgerow Lounge. The breakfast staff is fantastic: Siya, Rishitta, Casey, Zac, Paul and Amy. I would always choose to stay at the Conrad.

I just spent seven nights at the Conrad London on a business trip and I loved it. I visit London at least once a year for business and each time I stay at a different hotel because I have not quite found a keeper. However, after this stay, it's safe to say that my search is over.
First, the interior design aesthetic is contemporary/modern which i love. I fell in love with my King deluxe room immediately i walked in and housekeeping kept the rooms and linens spotless for my entire stay. Second, the hotel is right across the road from the St. James Park underground station so, perfect accessibility to public transportation. But what really made this hotel special is the staff.
Nobert from the concierge team was most attentive and helpful on my first day and each i time i encountered him after, continued to display a high level of care and professionalism. Casey from breakfast service was excellent and helped make my seven night stay a lovely experience. She was always very warm, welcoming and attentive and showed a high level of professionalism.
I also want to mention that i had a great dinner at the Pem. Loved the chef's presentation of my dinner.
Overall, I highly recommend the Conrad London St. James and plan to return for future trips to London.
Perfect location in London-town! A week flew by quickly - we opted for the junior suite, which was a good size, with a super-comfortable bed, and very quiet, with a nice view of the street below. Turndown service was an unexpected pleasure (chocolates on the pillows, sometimes other treats). Lounge access meant starting the day with a delicious breakfast, with lots of choices. Each afternoon, there were tasty snacks and drinks. Great service from Alessandro at check-in (making for a terrific welcome!) and the lounge staff were particularly friendly, kind and accommodating. The concierge staff were also very helpful. We are already planning our next stay!
We chose to stay at the Conrad St James for our mother/daughter trip to London and we loved it! The location is wonderful and our room was lovely. We especially enjoyed breakfast with so many choices and the beautiful flower arrangements at the reception desk. The best part of this hotel, however, is the staff and the service . Reception when we arrived was quick and easy. Everywhere we went, the staff was there to make our stay perfect. I have to mention a few special staff members who took extra special care of us. Vjollca, who took care of our nightly turn down was so kind to my daughter on her birthday and made her feel special; Julia at breakfast was so kind, outgoing and always came by to make sure we were taken care of (I especially enjoyed talking with her); and Alan, in the bar, was exceptionally kind and quick to help when my daughter became ill. He went to the kitchen and brought out a tray with special food that she would be able to eat. Our stay here was just exceptional. We can’t wait to return.
Just wanted to say that Paul at breakfast, each and every time, was very attentive. Best service we had anywhere here in London. Will miss him for sure. Everyone was great the whole time we were here. Front of the house as well. Enjoyed our stay, thank you everyone.
We stayed at the Conrad St. James for four nights and, while the location was excellent, the service standards didn’t match the price point.
Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay. Out of four nights, turndown service happened only once. Every day we had to request an extra towering the am, even though the hotel knew we were a party of three. Basic items like towels shouldn’t require daily requests at a property positioned as luxury. The one night we did turn on the TV it was broken, wasnt fixed even though we complained as we did want to watch the 1am world cup match.
The Executive Lounge was comfortable to sit in, but the food and drink offerings were very limited compared to club lounges at other 5‑star hotels. It felt more like a quiet waiting room than a true lounge experience.
On the positive side, the location is fantastic — right next to Westminster Abbey and extremely convenient for sightseeing and transportation.
Overall, this is a solid 4‑star hotel, but the service didn’t justify the £650 per night rate we paid. At around £200–£250 per night, it would feel appropriately priced for the experience delivered.
Customer service from John at the bar was excellent. John went out his way to make us feel comfortable. Even after closing time he stayed back to make sure we were okay. Kudos to John
We adore the Conrad London! We have stayed there twice, and now it feels like home. The rooms are extraordinary, and the bathrooms are just spectacular. But the staff really makes the difference. John at the bar, and Anna, took care of us for two dinners with lovely cocktails, delicious food and wonderful service. 10/10!
