Conrad London St James

Absolutely outstanding experience from check-in to check-out. As advertised, incredible location steps from St James Park, Westminster and the riverfront; walking distance to other major tourist/commercial sites (Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and so on), but a Tube station is right across the street, and bus routes are nearby too. All staff were warm and personable, and it was very easy to access the Front Desk or Concierge (who were quite helpful with recommendations and transportation questions). Food options at- and around- the hotel were bountiful (there is 24hr room service, albeit with a limited menu overnight - we did not personally partake, but this was impressive to see), and our room (a family connected suite) was spacious for London with the higher-end amenities expected of a higher-end hotel (comfortable bedding, bath products, stocked mini-fridge, etc.). The on-site breakfast was actually quite good and filling. The overall hotel ambiance was calm, never really too busy at least outwardly, and offered a nice break from a bustling day. Really appreciated how the staff treated our children as true guests, engaging with them and making sure they enjoyed their stays just as much as we adults did. No issues with cleanliness or noise - top notch on both accounts. Certainly a higher price point than other potential hotels, but it was well-worth it - cannot say enough good things, and clearly will be recommending this locale to others!

The breakfast was amazing with so many options to choose from. The dining staff were super nice and very customer focused. We loved it! The door men were incredibly professional and helpful. From when our taxi arrived till check in, they offered excellent service.

It has a nice atmosphere, caring workers and fast service. The food variety was immense and well cooked. Would recommend!!

I stayed at the Conrad St. James in July 2026 on a family trip with myself, my husband, and our two-year-old that involved seeing all the major tourist attractions but at a much more relaxed pace. The location of the hotel was perfect for my family as many of our activities (Westminster Abbey, Kings Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Churchill War Rooms) were a short walk away from the hotel, which allowed us to come back frequently to the hotel and relax with our toddler. Everywhere else we wanted to go was a short tube or bus ride away. We loved spending our downtime at the hotel, especially in the executive lounge where we enjoyed the daily afternoon tea. We also loved breakfast every morning and it was nice to be able to have a healthy start to our day.

We appreciated that the hotel was located in an area that didn't feel like a tourist district, despite being so conveniently located to major tourist attractions. There were several places for quick food takeaway just around the corner, which we needed for our toddler who didn't have the patience for daily sit down restaurant meals. These included Farmer J, Coyo Taco, and, of course, Pret a Manger.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We were in a deluxe room and it was perfectly fine for our family of three but I think a standard room would be tight with the crib. The bathroom was beautiful and seemed to have been recently renovated. The room itself was very quiet, probably owing to it facing the internal airshaft/courtyard.

The following didn't detract from my overall enjoyment, but I will note a few minor negatives. The internal airshaft really needs to be cleaned, as does the skylight over the executive lounge. The bed was rather firm, which I didn't mind but my husband found too firm. Like most hotels, the pillows weren't dense enough to support my head while sleeping. The hairdryer in my room had a broken diffuser that wouldn't stay attached--I should have called down to request a replacement, but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to wait for a replacement.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London.

After a disappointing stay at another Hilton-family property in Edinburgh, arriving at the Conrad London St. James was truly a refreshing change.

From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed. We were greeted by Dave, who was an absolute delight—friendly, professional, warm, and genuinely helpful. He is truly a gem and made a wonderful first impression.

As Hilton Honors Diamond members, we understand that upgrades are based on availability. While a suite was not available for our entire stay, Dave was able to upgrade us to a beautiful suite for the nights it was available in recognition of my husband’s 50th birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made an already special trip even more memorable.

Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, the hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. The location is also hard to beat—just steps from many of London’s most iconic attractions and incredibly convenient for exploring the city.

We would absolutely recommend the Conrad London St. James and would happily stay here again. And if you’re lucky enough to be greeted by Dave at check-in, I’m sure you’ll be just as charmed as we were. He is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and a perfect example of what great hospitality should feel like.

The room was excellent, beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and immaculately maintained throughout our stay. I do love a Conrad bed, and if you like a bed on the softer side, this will do the trick. The Byredo toiletries in the bathroom are perfect, and anytime I smell Mojave Ghost I just get reminded of Conrad Bangkok and London.

The team at check-in were warm, welcoming and genuinely went above and beyond to make me feel valued as a guest. I was celebrating my birthday during my stay and was delighted by the thoughtful extra touches provided by the hotel. These small gestures made the occasion feel special and were greatly appreciated.

The location is also hard to beat. Situated in the heart of Westminster, it's perfectly positioned for exploring many of London's most iconic attractions, with excellent transport links nearby.

Overall, the Conrad manages to combine luxury, comfort and genuinely outstanding hospitality. Between the exceptional staff, comfortable rooms, fantastic Executive Lounge, excellent breakfast and prime location, this was a memorable stay and I look forward to returning.

St James Park, Westminster, London Eye, Big Ben, Piccadilly, Covent Garden all within a 10 minute walk, and St James tube station on the other side of the street, this hotel has everything.

Our room was very comfortable and quiet, we especially loved the hallway leading into the bedroom from the room door, it added to rooms ambience and the bathroom was huge, separate bath, walk in shower and WC, great high end amenities too, the aromatherapy products were amazing and we had everything we needed, Great turndown too, with chocolates, slippers and robes.

A big shout out to Pawan on reception, thank for the warm and sincere welcome, you made our stay special and memorable.

Nice location but very dangerous bathroom design. Tub/shower had no handrail and no bathroom mats. Staff offered soft drinks after guest fell and had to be moved after bleeding profusely.

My wife and I went for afternoon tea for a special occasion and it certainly was special. The food and drink were first class and we were superbly well looked after by all the staff. Alan and John went the extra mile to give us the very best afternoon Thankyou!

Great stay walking distance to some great sights. Rooms were pretty small but very clean and the bed is so comfortable. The staff is fantastic and Siya started every single morning off with an amazing smile before seating me for breakfast
