Pleasant and old classic with much Natural Landscape feel. Good value stay.
Pros:

Friendly and proper elegant staffs. Great value for what we paid. Comfortable big size room. The hotel is under renovations and since it is low season there were more workers than guests. Very Natural surroundings. We have our own car so with large parking at front of hotel it was convenient. I like the designs of the hotel and with freshening it up it is classic beauty.

Cons:

There were dozens of gardeners working the next morning and all
Day to clear up trees and all so they were around swimming pool area and did not give the sense of privacy. We didn’t use the pool at all. But no complaints Aa for what we paid for the room type with big balcony and beach front view on the 3 rd floor room for 2 nights and under 4000b was a great deal including breakfast.

Our stay at Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.

The hotel surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our vacation even more special. We also received lovely complimentary treats from the hotel, and these thoughtful gestures made us feel truly valued as guests.

What impressed us the most was the incredible staff. Every single team member was friendly, professional, and always smiling. Their attention to detail was beyond anything we have experienced before. For example, I asked for mosquito spray only twice because I was getting bitten. After that, every time we came to our usual table, mosquito spray was already waiting for us without us even asking. It's such a small detail, but it perfectly shows how attentive and caring the staff are.

The service throughout the hotel was exceptional. Everyone remembered us, greeted us warmly every day, and always made sure we had everything we needed. You can really feel that the staff care about their guests and take pride in making every stay special.

The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally clean. Our room was spotless every day, and the housekeeping team did an amazing job. The gardens are well maintained, the pools are clean, and the entire property has a relaxing atmosphere.

The location is also fantastic if you're looking for a quiet escape while still being close enough to explore Koh Chang. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and unwind.

Breakfast offered a great variety of delicious food, and dining by the sea made every morning even more enjoyable.

Thank you to the entire Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway team for making our holiday so memorable. Your kindness, professionalism, and attention to every little detail truly set this hotel apart.

We travel quite often, and this has been one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had.

Pros:

We went in the low season so you had all the amenities and very low on other people.. Best time to go is now.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about. We loved it. Oh there is no Elevator so if your on the top floor your walking which is fine for most.
We had a car so no issues but... it is a fair way from the pier..
The west side of the island is great. Which the Mecure hotel is and to the south West..

Terrible stay – wouldn’t recommend
We stayed for two nights, and it was a complete disaster.

The hot water was completely unreliable – it would run for only about two minutes, then turn ice cold, and we’d have to wait several minutes before any hot water came back. Because of this, my husband ended up with a fever.

Cleanliness was very poor. There were dead ants in the sink, and the drainage was extremely slow.

The soundproofing was awful – we could hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway.

The pillows and mattress were far too soft, offering no support at all. We both woke up with back and neck pain.

Overall, a miserable experience. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Swimming pool is decent, with fire shows on some days. Food is okay, but not great.

I booked 4 rooms in total.
There were a lot of mosquitoes in every room, but I accepted it because it's close to nature. I knew this before booking.
I don't understand why almost every room had an aromatherapy diffuser but no essential oils were used. I had to ask for them.

Pool Villa 1611:
The jacuzzi was very noisy, like it was about to break at any moment, making me hesitant to use it for fear of a short circuit.
There was no aromatherapy diffuser provided.

Pool-access rooms 1203-1204:
The first room had musty-smelling pillows.
The second room had a slight odor, and before bed, when I looked up at the ceiling, there were many dark, mold-like marks.The beds in the room were different; one was soft and the other was firm.The hairdryer is very small, unlike the one in the other room. If you have long or thick hair, it might take up to 30 minutes.

The sea-view room 1523:
didn't have any problems.

My personal opinion is that the hotel is getting old and needs room renovations.
