The Westin Playa Bonita is beautiful! The pools are huge with plenty of lounge chairs.
There are numerous restaurants, entertainment in the lounge and the VIP option that provides buffet breakfast and dinners.
It's far enough away from downtown, or Old town, but easy to get to by Uber or taxi.
Highly recommend.
Nothing really, but if I had to say anything, it's not a swimming beach. Although it is beachfront, and you can walk along the shore.

We love the amount of pools at were available at the property. Also the rooms were extremely spacious and very clean. The entire property was extremely clean. One of our favorite places on the property was the spa.
They property was very clean however they have a bad fly problem. Specifically in the sports bar "Soleo" and also is the main dining hall " the Buffet". In both those areas you are constantly swatting at flies, we we got up we had to cover our food with our napkins to try and avoid flies.
Another dislike was a the lack of entertainment at the resort. There pretty much was the same performer every night. It was boring and repetitive.

My stay was absolutely wonderful. We stayed there for 5 nights and it was spectacular. The server Enriquin the Pacifica was great! Eric Ruit-room service displayed exceptional customer service. Due to the weather we lost power and he carried our food 12 floors to serve his guest. He was sweaty and out of breathe but he pushed the envelope. He proved that the industry still have people who love what they do. Great Job Eric!!

Great location and atmosphere and very accommodating for kids and families also lots of dining options. Front desk was good and always available. Nelson at the entrance was excellent also always try is best to answer any questions we had and if he done know he will find out.

En las piscinas no tienen servicio de bebida a las reposeras. Hay bares cerrados y hay que caminar 200 metros por una bebida.

Nos sirvió para nuestro objetivo de estadía en un Hotel con piscina para relax y estar cerca de la ciudad para visitarlas. Varias piscinas agradables, se consiguen poltronas. Buen servicio de toallas.
Administración desastrosa. Nos cobraron por acceder a la habitación antes del horario de check in, nos enviaron a una habitación sucia. Nos asignaron otra habitación y otro día nos dejan por debajo de la puerta una nota diciendo que deberíamos mudarnos porque la iban a mantener. Nos envían a otra habitación y ¡estaba sucia!!!, descontrol total. Pedí hablar con el Gerente del hotel, pero nos lo negaron. Solo pude hablar con el Gerente de Recepción (el responsable del caos) quién nos envió a una amplia suite con vista al mar, pero no nos interesan las habitaciones tan grandes, ni pagamos por la vista, no es de nuestro interés. Nos devolvieron el cargo por acceso antes del check in. Los tragos, otra desilución. No te ilusiones con el nombre de "Playa Bonita", el sitio donde está ubicado el hotel, la playa es horrible: piedras y barro.

My husband and I chose this hotel to stay during our anniversary trip this year. This location was not that far from the airport and had good reviews. Overall, the hotel was clean. Our room was nice and had a great view. The staff was excellent, very warm and welcoming. The food was good. It was the off season so there were not a lot of guests there. The steakhouse, Tierra de Fuego, was good and the food was really good. The service was EXCELLENT! I want to give kudos and a shout out to Analidis, she was great and made my husband and I feel like family. There was a young lady at the pool bar during our stay they gave exceptional service as well, Nilka, she was an absolute sweetheart. I also want to shout out the bellman out front that was equally as warm, friendly and helpful, George (Geraldo). We love great service. We also got a couple’s massage at the spa and that nice as well and the service was really good.
The hotel is a little dated and could use a little extra love and maintenance. The pools weren’t clean and the beach is ok. This hotel is off the beaten path and a nice quiet place to stay if you want to relax and get away. BEWARE of the No See-ems! They are small mosquitoes, they bite and are real and they will get you. Make sue you use bug spray! Overall, this is a very decent place to stay.
