Es stand geschrieben, mit Parkplatz. Der Mann an Rezeption hat nur gesagt, alle Parkplätze sind voll und wir sollen in Parkgarage für 20 € die Nacht parken.

It fitted our plans for a 2 night stay. No lounge or bar. Basic services were fine.
Staff is friendly, location is central in Chamonix
Sure, there was a heat wave, and very few hotels in Chamonix have air conditioning.
However, even when the temperature was moderately hot outside, it was much hotter in our tiny 2nd-floor room. The only source of relief was a ceiling window that we couldn't open when rain threatened (at the risk of getting the room wet). The one night we left it open, it meant the sunshine in the morning woke us at 6am along with the construction noise outside the hotel.
How hot was it? Our last night at the hotel, the heat caused the room door to expand, which made it unable to close at all. We told the front desk that we felt unsafe with the room door visibly open, and we were told the only room they could move us was a hotel 10 minutes' drive from town. Not a great option as we (a) wanted to be in Chamonix and (b) just had dinner and a bottle of wine and returned to the room, not looking to drive at midnight. So we went to sleep with a chair and suitcase stacked against the open door so we would hear anyone entering our room in the middle of the night. I was told that maybe the manager would speak to me in the morning. Nobody did. We were simply offered a nominal reimbursement for our trouble.
From the beginning, the signs of a poor stay were evident. A few days before our stay, we checked in online after receiving an email. I selected options for on-site parking and to have our room made up to be romantic for our special anniversary stay. When we arrived, they had no record of either.
In the end, the room is too hot in the summer for wood doors and certainly not meant for human occupation. So not exactly the 25th anniversary we planned or a hotel you should stay in. Chamonix is special. The hotel has nice staff but the facilities are a wreck. Avoid.

A l'accueil, on nous a proposé de payer un supplément pour avoir une chambre qui correspondait à celle qu’on avait réservé, après notre refus, la chambre était en sous sol sans aucune vue!

Lillebitte værelse oppe under loftet. Kun skråvindue i taget, og meget stejle,og smalle trapper. Undrer os faktisk over, at det var lovligt i brandrisiko forstand. Og så var værelset voldsomt varmt. Havde den opstillede blæser så bare svalet halvt så meget som den larmede!
