Could be great but someone would need to spend some serious cash to get it there!.
Pros:

Staff were pleasant and Manager tried hard to please, including running us in his car to the nearby pub for dinner Location is good
Generally clean and fairly comfortable.

Cons:

Hotel has a ‘hunting lodge’ design & feel to it and would have been impressive back in the day but it is very tired now and quite misrepresented in Booking.com. Doubtful any/much money has been spent on this property for 20-30 years. Restaurant was only open for breakfast hence dinner has to be found elsewhere.

Pros:

We were shunted from a hotel in Omarama that we had booked because of an earlier seasonal close than anticipated.
Advice was that it would be an upgrade whereas in fact we were put in a very dated hotel with an unclean room with terrible carpet stains, non functioning smoke alarm, poky shower with curtain and shower rose which hardly functioned. All in all a very unsatisfactory experience and grossly overpriced. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.

I would stay there again.
Pros:

The location was good and about 10 min walk to main shopping area, ie pub, coffee, groceries.

Cons:

Was quiet and peaceful . Easy access and parking.

It suited me perfectly and if it's exactly the same I visit that will be fine by me.
Pros:

view and the period feel of the place. Was able to find what I like for breakfast - muesli, good fruit and yoghurt

shower is dated and TV is small and grainy
