Our stay at 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai was genuinely exceptional and one of the most special hotel experiences we have ever had.

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The history, the original house, the architecture and the way everything has been so beautifully preserved make it feel completely unique. There are plenty of beautiful luxury hotels in the world, but 137 Pillars has something that is much harder to find. It has real character, warmth and soul.

What really makes this hotel, though, is the people.

Our butler, Tuck, was amazing. From the moment we arrived, she looked after us so well and made everything feel effortless. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she was always there when we needed her without ever being intrusive. That kind of service can completely change a hotel stay, and Tuck made ours incredibly special.

The reception staff were also wonderful. Every time we walked through the hotel, we were greeted with such warmth and genuine friendliness. In fact, every member of staff we met was kind, attentive and lovely to deal with. The service never felt formal or forced. It just felt natural and genuine, which is one of the things we loved most.

Breakfast was amazing and something we looked forward to every morning. The food, the choice, the setting and, of course, the service were all fantastic. One of the the best hotel breakfast I have experienced

I also had a massage in the spa which was unbelievable — genuinely one of the best massages I have ever had. The spa experience was wonderful from start to finish and is an absolute must if you are staying at the hotel.

As a travel advisor, I am very fortunate to stay in and visit many wonderful hotels, and I can honestly say that 137 Pillars House is one of the best I have ever experienced. It isn’t just beautiful, although it really is breathtaking. It is the combination of the history, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the wonderful people who work there that makes it so special.

We were genuinely sad to leave. 137 Pillars House is one of those rare hotels that stays with you long after you have checked out, and we cannot wait to return.

Tuck, who took care of us throughout our stay, was truly wonderful. Her thoughtful attention, genuine kindness, and prompt responses to every request made our stay incredibly comfortable.
Every member of the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and treated us with genuine, natural kindness. Their sense of balance was absolutely perfect—never too close, yet never too distant. Each person cared for us so naturally that it felt as if we had found another home in Chiang Mai. We felt completely relaxed and truly cared for throughout our stay.

Our room was peaceful and beautifully designed, and the spacious balcony was the perfect place to relax.
The surroundings felt like a quiet forest. Every morning we woke up to the sound of birds singing, and we enjoyed watching squirrels wandering through the gardens.
At night, the atmosphere became magical and completely different from the daytime, which was another unforgettable part of the experience.
The trees and gardens were maintained with incredible care, and there was not a single piece of litter anywhere. The insect control was also exceptional, allowing us to enjoy our entire stay in complete comfort without any stress from insects.
Wherever we looked, we could feel the attention to detail and the care that this hotel puts into everything.

Breakfast exceeded all of our expectations.
The quality of the ingredients was exceptional. Even the vegetables were so fresh and delicious that I had never tasted vegetables like that at any other hotel.
Everything we ate was outstanding, and together with the warm smiles of the staff, breakfast became something we looked forward to every morning. Every morning was a happy and memorable start to our day.

We stayed at 137 Pillars while on vacation in Chiang Mai. The resort is fabulous, within walking distance to many activities. The staff was helpful, attentive and friendly. Big shout out to our concierge Toto, who recommended several wonderful experiences. Well worth the visit.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Thailand going to Bangkok, Chang Mai, and Phuket. We both agree Chang Mai was our favorite stop for several reasons, but the main reason being 137 Pillars House. From the beginning, the service was extraordinary. The staff cared for our wants and needs, including our wonderful butler, Tuck. Whenever we need something or a recommendation, she was able to provide it for us. The minute we got into our room, we felt so special. They had a cake, mango, and a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate our honeymoon. We felt that kindness and generosity during the duration of our stay. One of the servers we interacted with during our stay, Torch, was incredibly thoughtful. We had a private dinner and he was our waiter providing us a marvelous meal. He was our waiter for breakfast several more times and even provided us his favorite meal. 137 Pillars is a beautiful place to stay and we highly recommend it to anyone who says there.

Absolutely fantastic experience at 137 Pillars. All staff was incredibile helpful throughout our stay, from preparing breakfast boxes for our early morning adventure days, to helping us with dinner reservations, spa appointments we had the best time. The amenities were fantastic, the gym was very cool, the pool was excellent and all drinks and food we had was top notch.

We had such an amazing time here. Incredible service, an oasis in the middle of a busy city, and Ms. Tuck was our personal point of contact who arranged everything for us on the spot — from a football for the kids to an iPhone stand. The food was fantastic as well. Everything was super clean! We’ll definitely be back!

Wow, what a great hotel. Gorgeous large rooms with huge private terraces. Amazing pool area with convenient bar service. The main bar was a delight, and the restaurant was great. Incredible breakfast buffet with Thai and Western options. We loved our stay.
