The location is incredible - the view of the volcano is extraordinary. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious & nice.
There is a small theme park next door too.
There aren’t many local food options without a car. The hotel’s food is acceptable, but choices are limited. There is almost no veggie food & they don’t serve (any) wine - only spirits or sweet cocktails, which was a bit sad at dinner. Finally, the pool is far, far away. We had to walk around a wedding party to access it (the bride was very beautiful though!)
The location is perfect, especially coming from USA
The furniture and bed are old, i have to call for refrigerator service, it was not working
The view and the peaceful ambience.
I wasn’t given a bday cake :(, kidding, nothing.
the breakfast is good as well the view outside the room
we checked in too late so we were not able to enjoy the facilities fully.
I like mostly how welcoming the staff were. They were all having a smiling faces whenever I see them. The facility was also nice, overlooking to the Taal volcano. Me and my family enjoyed a lot and I could say one of the best places ever I've been.
All went well.
Stay away from this hotel.. overhyped and expensive.. Staff is not accomodating, too much mosquito.. food is not good.. and only 2 persons free per room.. not good value for money.. better stay in other hotel..
The view of Taal volcano
The cost. The breakfast is so so.
Love the staff, the view and the breakfast
We were at the basement which we didn't know ridge room was at basement
The way to the basement was like hilly inside.
Not comfortable specially if your PWD
The water in the shower get stock and very slow drainage
I admire how attentive and warm the F&B team was, how the FO team kindly offered a discounted upgrade ( though i declined the offer ) and how well you accommodated our welcome note request and small cake for our July celebrant,we'll definitely come back, just for Taal View next time instead of Mountain View.
I do have a few points of feedback I felt were worth raising:
1. Directions to the room: We had a hard time finding our room and got lost ,we only later discovered there was an entry pass near the pool. It would help if a staff member could guide guests or provide clearer directions to their rooms.
2. Room condition (Mountain View): I've stayed at your Taal Lake View rooms before and they were superb. This was my first time in a Mountain View room, and I was a bit disappointed ,the bed felt quite old; despite the clean white linens, you could really feel the springs underneath. It was surprising to experience that at Taal Vista.
3. Door lock: The room didn't have an additional manual lock (the kind that prevents the door from being opened easily from outside).
4. Room scent: When we entered the room, it had a slightly musty/old smell. A light hotel scent would have made a nice difference.
5. Food storage request: We stayed 3 nights/4 days. On our second day, I asked the Front Office if the kitchen could hold our leftover, almost-untouched food in their freezer until check-out, since the in-room fridge wasn't cooling properly. Unfortunately, this wasn't accommodated, and we ended up having to throw the food away. It would be appreciated if this kind of request could be accommodated in the future, even with a waiver or indemnity form for guests who prefer that option.
6. Make-up room service: I requested a make-up room by placing the card on our door knob on day 2, as we had a busy schedule and left some scattered papers in the room. When we returned, the papers were exactly where we'd left them, only the bed and bathroom amenities had been changed. I wasn't sure if this is your standard for make-up room service, but it was unexpected.
big land. good to walk around.
kif hou stay in the Lake Wing, its a long way to reception.
The location was amazing and the outdoor areas overlooking the lake were fantastic. Cannot describe how awesome the view was. The restaurant staff were friendly.
We 'upgraded' our room to the newly renovated lake view wing and unfortunately there were many dodgy things in iur room. Electrical socket hanging off the wall, exposed wiring and the smell in the bathroom (possibly glue of some sort). I think we caught the reception staff member on a bad day, it appeared as if he did not want to be there nor helpful and didn't really care whether or not we upgraded our room after he had offered.
Clean
Boring
The location of our room is perfect, but we have to pay extra. The staff and breakfast are great.
Initial location of the room is not good. there is no view of the volcano. We have to pay extra to have a perfect view.
