Not happy with our stay, and would definitely not recommend it to anyone.
Pros:

There was nothing to like about Hotel Mayet. The staff were pleasant, but treated us differently once we made a complaint.

Cons:

The room was so small, it was very difficult with suitcases and carry on luggage.
The carpets and walls were quite dirty.
The breakfast was very ordinary for 14 euros per person.
I’ve never heard of a hotel to run out of hot water for showers for 3 days in a row, and blaming the Paris soccer win riots in the streets. We had cold showers or no showers, even on our last day. Not Happy!
The hotel is very old and there’s damage to rooms. It desperately needs an upgrade.

Pros:

Location was great. The room was cleaned every day. There was always someone on staff who watched the door for guests. We checked into our room before check-in as it was ready. The AC worked well and kept the room cool on a very hot week.

Cons:

Several things didn't work well in the room. The shower head was becoming encrusted with minerals and spraying at funny angles, the towel warmer didn't work, and the drain plug in the sink wouldn't stay closed. Housekeeping knocked on our door one morning at 8 am, as well as several other rooms, none of which were up and ready. He even opened the door on someone still in bed. The walls were thin, and the bedroom doors slammed shut, waking up anyone who went to bed earlier than others.

Die Lage ist wunderbar. Das Quartier, ist sehr lebhaft und hat tolle Restaurants. Es ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind recht klein und eng. Die Betten sehr schmal. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit Kleider abzulegen, ausser einen schmalen Schrank. Kein Nachttisch, keine Sessel. Das ist schade, aber auch kaum Platz dafür in den Zimmern.
