A lovely welcome, great room- spacious and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant were buzzing with a great atmosphere, the staff were attentive and on the ball.
The bathroom was lovely but the shower could do with an upgrade
Excellent staff, food,location, beautiful homely establishment.
As we are in our 70's, the spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge. But, the room was the reward for the climb.

Very comfortable room with all amenities. Very comfortable bed. Good views from windows. Good shower. Excellent breakfast outside on nice terrace. I liked the fact that they have tastefully maintained an impressive late Victorian inn, very attractive inside and out, not overly-modernised so with plenty of charm.

We weren’t expecting much from a one night pub stay, but we were seriously pleasantly surprise by the interior and comfort of the rooms - felt more like a boutique hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was perfect, the beer garden is a nice spot to have a drink.
I am newly gluten free and found the menu and breakfast menu to be quite limiting - could only have some plain yoghurt and pretty bland granola for breakfast. My husband ate and he felt the food was okay. A great menu but maybe not quite as brilliant as you’d hope for.
All the staff we met were lovely, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

great location - comfortable beds and great air conditioning
i say this about too many hotel rooms around the world - there is great air conditioning in the rooms but why is there big thick high tog duvets on the beds - in summer you need a summer low tog duvet - one day a hotel may work out that thinner duvets mean less air conditioning power needed which then leads to lower energy bills!
