单人间虽然小，但设施完备，干净整洁，价格不算贵，前台可以说中文，非常友好了。坐拥cbd，旁边就是大教堂，弗林德斯车站，墨尔本图书馆，走去Coles也就几分钟。

Room dirty; dusty; air conditioner filthy: I had to clean a very blocked filter to make the air conditioner heat the room.
Carpet edges caked in dust; old food still on carpet.
Remote controls for air conditioner and TV broken.

Cons:

We’ve stayed here a few times but the room we were in ,the basin in bathroom was blocked and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly also microwave wasn’t heating up food! We were on the 6th floor usually I’m happy to stay here because of location.

The room did its job
Pros:

Location was perfect

Cons:

The motel was very run down. Any updates that have been done were not by licensed traders. There was graffiti and pornographic images in the stairwells. The location was the only good thing about this place. The tv and remote were broken. We weren't expecting the Ritz but that said we also weren't expecring a run down and unkept building.

Very dirty but clean comfortable bed

The bed was clean and comfortable
The staff were friendly

Cons:

It was very run down and dirty.
Dust was cascading of skirting boards and there were wide layers of dust around the edges of all the carpets in the rooms and hallways.
The bath had thick soap scum, some small mold spots and I didn’t feel comfortable having a shower. The elevators were dirty and I’m pretty sure there was dried blood splatter on the wall of one.

Needs a good deep clean. If the bathroom tiles were scrubbed (to remove old stuck on dirt, especially on walls around toilet) and grout scrubbed/freshened, cleaned behind doors, then this review would be different. Just a little attention needed. It hasn't put me off staying there again

Adequate, good location. Price is right

Cons:

It was no frills and minimalist. I had to drink my coffee out of a bowl, because there were no cups or glasses. (But I did get some when I notified reception)

Staying at the City Square Motel was disappointing and unsafe!

No security door or entrance door, anyone can use elevator, homeless living in stairwell with drug paraphernalia and weapons, homeless injecting drugs in hallway, unsafe for families, staff unresponsive and dismissive. Horrible!!!

You get what you pay
Pros:

Everything is quite old and not very attractive, but you get what you pay for. For the price, the location is excellent — right in the CBD and easy to get around. I only needed a place to store my suitcase, sleep for 4–5 hours, and continue my trip, so this motel was reasonable for that purpose. Just don’t expect a fancy or modern room when paying around the low 1xx price range.
