The St. Regis Shenzhen

This was my second time staying at this St. Regis and it reminded me why I came back.

The location is great and the views are honestly hard to beat, especially if you get a higher floor. But what really stood out this time was the service.

I’m a Titanium member and stay at a lot of properties but I’ve never quite experienced hospitality like this. Faust, Chief Butler, was exceptional from start to finish. He was super attentive, warm and just genuinely cared about making the stay memorable. You can tell when someone takes pride in what they do, and it really shows with him.

Alice was also great and invited me to the champagne ceremony, which I didn’t even know about before. That ended up being a really nice touch and something I probably would have missed otherwise.

Overall, this stay felt much more personal than what I usually experience elsewhere. Definitely one of the better experiences I have had, and I will definitely be back.

St. Regis Shenzhen is undoubtedly one of the city's most impressive luxury properties, and the rooms and facilities genuinely live up to the brand's five-star reputation. The room itself was beautifully appointed, well-maintained, and everything you'd expect from a St. Regis address. On that front, there are no complaints whatsoever.

However, the check-in experience was frankly disappointing. The queue at the front desk was unusually long, and the pace at which guests were being attended to felt sluggish and disorganised. The staff, whilst not rude, carried a rather neutral and indifferent demeanour that fell well short of the warm, anticipatory service one expects at a luxury hotel of this calibre. First impressions matter enormously, and this was not a strong one.

The saving grace of the stay was undoubtedly the butler service. A heartfelt kudos to Alice and Eddie, both of whom were attentive, gracious, and genuinely went above and beyond. They embody everything the St. Regis butler tradition stands for, and their professionalism truly elevated the overall experience.

A quick note on the St. Regis Bar. The space itself is elegant and atmospheric, but the service left something to be desired. When cocktails were served, there was no introduction whatsoever, with no mention of the ingredients, the flavour profile, or the story behind the drink. For a signature bar at a property of this standing, that level of engagement is really the bare minimum, and its absence made the whole experience feel rather transactional.

Overall, St. Regis Shenzhen is a hotel with tremendous potential and exceptional bones. With some meaningful investment in front of house training and service consistency, it could easily be one of the finest stays in the Greater Bay Area.

This is my third time checking in in this hotel, and it was for my mother's Bday and father's day as well.

Thanks to Manager Crystal Lieu, email contacted me in advance, knowing that we were coming in three, had gracefully granting us 3 seats of breakfast and as well as the happy hour, which normally only included 2, regarding my membership status.
Also for the big surprise of the room upgrade, I have had the privilege to enjoy such prestige suite in this hotel, all thanks to Ms Lieu.

Checking in was smooth, shout out to the front desk, they were nice and kind, makes me feel like im home.

The cake and decoration of the room for my mum was remarkable, both my parents were very satisfied. Also thanks to Manager Ms Chen as well for her heart warming kind gesture to my parents.

This hotel is for those who are looking for the best service money can buy and for the fact that I have returned many time, I highly recommend this hotel.

This is my third time visiting the hotel. The services were excellent, as they are aware of the needs of the customers. For example, they prepared children's amenities for my son and extra bottled water for us since it was quite hot these days in Shenzhen.

The catering experience is wonderful, especially the breakfast. There are various choices at the egg station and Chinese dim sum and nice pastries.

The location and view of the hotel are spectacular. You can view Shenzhen from the 95th floor.

Finally, I was lucky to be invited to be the guest of the "Champagne Opening" on the first night of my stay. It was my pleasure to share the my happiness with all the guests.

An unforgettable stay with exceptional service and breath-taking views!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this hotel. The hospitality here is top-notch; we were assigned a dedicated butler who took excellent care of us, providing delightful tea service and fresh welcome fruits. On top of that, the views from the room are spectacular, offering a stunning panoramic view of the entire city.

One detail we deeply appreciated—which is quite rare in China—is that there was no wastebasket next to the toilet. When we checked with the staff, they kindly confirmed that it is perfectly fine to flush a reasonable amount of toilet paper down the toilet, which made our stay feel much more hygienic and comfortable.

As Marriott Platinum members, we were also highly impressed by the generous elite benefits and perks offered to us. The overall experience was flawless, and we would absolutely love to stay here again!

My family and I recently stayed at the hotel to celebrate a very personal milestone: my 600th night and achieving lifetime platinum status. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to mark the occasion.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. We had the pleasure of staying in the Caroline Astor Suite, and it was everything we could have hoped for — incredibly spacious, elegantly appointed, and that bed. As anyone who travels often knows, a good bed makes all the difference, and this one was exceptional. My wife, who has scoliosis and is very particular about mattresses, found it wonderfully comfortable, which truly set the tone for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the magnificent view from the room was just the icing on the cake.

What truly elevated our experience, however, were the people. A very special thank you to Chief Butler Faust, who took such genuine care of us throughout our visit. He attended to our every need with warmth and grace, and went out of his way to make our five-year-old daughter feel just as special — surprising her with activity books and a teddy bear. That little teddy has since become her constant companion, wherever we go.

We were originally booked for just one night, but our daughter loved it so much that we ended up extending for an extra evening. That decision was made easy thanks to the seamless assistance we received from Kiki at the Front Office, and Joe and Jason from the Concierge team, who were with us from start to finish with kindness and professionalism.

This was more than just a hotel stay — it was a beautiful memory for our family, made even brighter by Faust and his incredible team. We left with full hearts and are already looking forward to our next visit.
