We think this is a great place to stay in Singapore. We are return visitors for this reason.
Pros:

We have stayed here before and the location can't be beaten. Great value for money.
Roof top pool
Over the road from Clarke Quay MRT and mall.
Plenty of eating options of all types.
Ten minutes walk from Chinatown.

Cons:

The rooms are small, like many in Singapore.
Benefits far outweigh this.

A good cheaper Singa option. Perfect to combat the exhaustion of long connecting flights and jet lag.
Pros:

Had a 22hr stop over in Singa.
Headed to this hotel for respite and rest at 2:30am.
The staff on shift at the 24 hr check in desk made it easy and kindly gave me a late checkout.
Took a windowless room. Perfect for my needs.
Slept a solid 9hrs, had a swim in the rooftop pool, showers and set out to enjoy Singa.
Close to the Quay, Mall and MRT so that’s a big plus too.

Cons:

The shower is kinda crazy as it goes all over the toilet and floor, but it’s a small conplaint for such a clean, cheap and cheerful hotel.

Pros:

Location was close to public transport, self service launderette and a short walk to mall/restaurants. Rooms are really small but I think that's expected for the price. Water was available at reception (use your own refillable bottle). Staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Do not have breakfast, it was not good. I know it's budget and I don't mind a basic breakfast but fruit was uncovered with flies around, sharing a knife in the butter etc. I tried a couple of days but then ate out. Not an issue probably for a lot of people but for medical reasons I can't drink caffeine but they wouldn't provide even one decaf coffee with breakfast even though they open as a cafe and normally serve it. Good news was there were good coffee shops around.

Pros:

Staff were so lovely. The room was a good enough size, and was very clean. It was nice having the pool. It was a good location to get to all the sites, for both walking or catching a bus. It felt very safe.

Cons:

They couldnt confirm if the breakfast was gluten free for my coeliac husband, they didnt seem to understand. We hadnt pre paid for breakfast so it wasnt a drama, we just sorted our own breakfast.
