Top service during the entire stay

Terrible service, poor air con, breakfast queue over 20 minuyes
Pros:

Hotel service just terrible
Booked a room costing £1000 a night
Room was amazing, great views but go to breakfast at 10.00 AM Sunday morning, a queue of at least 20 people… wait 10 minutes and give up .. at least another 20 minutes to get a table … and it’s a buffet so clearly just too many people relative to capacity!
Went out at 1030 with please clean my room sign on - returned at 1230 - room not made up-
went out to lunch at 1.00 - asked at reception if room could be made up in next 2-3 hours - left green light on - when i returned from lunch at 330 still not made up .. was only done when i asked again when i went out for dinner .. and no turndown that evening - no big deal but not 5 star!
Phoned room service for some desert at around 930 pm - only 2 of 4 items available - ordered these 2 - cheesecake and crème brule - so no cooking or preparation required - an hour and a half later no sign of room service! Phoned reception and cancelled as went to bed
it is hot weather - perhaps big problem
with staff but when you pay for a 5* hotel it must be better than this!
Also hotel aircon not working well - and not working at all in my room so they put portable units in my room - noisy and not really effective as it needs window open for the waste pipe and that lets in hot air!
When i have had contact- at reception staff are amazing - polite and clearly shocked at the problems - but it’s not a good experience to have so little service .
Go elsewhere if hot - they just can’t cope
