Pros:

RetroHotel im Herzen von Zermatt. Absolute sensationell gelegen, nah an den Bahnen und Zentrum. Personal superfreundlich, Frühstücksbuffet genug von allem und guter Qualität.

Fantastic!
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location up the valley very close to the gondola lift station and away from the dense, cluttered, overly-commercialized part of town closer to the rail station. The nice area near the Kirchbrücke is a short walk away, and stops for the free E-bus are very close. Our room view had an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn and the pretty upper valley without condo clutter. The included breakfast was very good with many options including alternative milks, and the dining room had great views. Staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar. Our room was very nice with a large balcony, marbled bathroom, wood ceiling, and comfortable bed.

Cons:

The walk from the rail station with luggage was longer than we thought, but the location was worth our walk. Had we known, we could easily have taken the E-bus to our hotel, or paid for one of the electric taxis.

Cozy room with beautiful view
Pros:

This pleasant hotel offers stunning views of the Matterhorn. However, it’s about a 10-minute walk from Zermatt train station, with a fairly long uphill stretch along the way.

Cons:

The room is small but very comfortable, and the balcony offers a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The electric kettle’s plug cannot be fitted into the socket.
