Zimmer Suite mit Matterhornblick war sensationel. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war lecker, vielseitig und mit Matterhornblick.

Cons:

Zimmer mit Teppich, Flecken überall und leicht muffig. Badewanne niedrig (wegen Dachschräge) und kein Vorhang.

Perfect views of the matterhorn in a genuinely lovely hotel with helpful staff.
Pros:

The room we were in had just been renovated and it was a perfect blend of modern and rustic.

The views of the matterhorn were genuinly exceptional. Quite a few other hotels had views with cranes in the way and blocking the view.

The staff were lovely and helpful.

The hotel was well situated and given how beautiful the room was and how good the views were it felt like good value.

Pros:

We had a beautiful view on the Matternhorn. The hotel is a bit old fashioned, but comfortable and well equipped. It is just few meters walk from the Valley Station to Glacier Paradise cabin lift.
It has also easy access by bus to Zermatt Central station.

Cons:

Although there was a kettle in the room but could not plug in to elektricity as it was not fit to Swiss plug-in. It is strange that a swiss hotel provides equipment with non Swiss comply elektricity plug.

Location is amazing, but hotel is quite dated.
Pros:

The location is amazing, view of the Matterhorn on our balcony, an easy stroll into town, and right next to the gondola. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

The hotel is quite dated, rooms haven’t been refurbished in at least a decade, the spa had a bit of a smell, and the staff was often absent and seemed to take things for granted.
