Piękny obszerny pokój z widokiem na rzekę. Personel bardzo miły, uśmiechnięty i pomocny. Hotel umiejscowiony przy głównym deptaku nad rzeką. Parking na miejscu. Pyszne śniadanie na ostatnim piętrze hotelu z pięknym widokiem na miasto.
W barze obok hotelu do późnych godzin trwała bardzo głośna impreza i nie można było otworzyć okna.

No Leisure facilities
Nice location few minutes of walk from city centre, nice view to river, clean, comfortable, huge room. Staff is also very kind and professional. It has it's own parking garage.
The hallway had quite a few spiders, and the bathroom ventilation continued running for a long time after being switched off. The beds could be more comfortable, and the air conditioning system was rather noisy and located very close to the bed. Breakfast was disappointing and could definitely be improved.
Another inconvenience is access to the elevators. Guests with a lot of luggage have to carry their bags up several stairs before reaching the elevators, which can be quite difficult and exhausting.
Considering these shortcomings, I feel the room rates could be slightly more competitive.

The reception-desk staff were personable, friendly, and efficient.
The restaurant staff were a sadly mixed bag -- once a waiter came to my table (I flagged him down on his way to an errand elsewhere), all went well, but to get his attention took twenty minutes. The nominal hostess was utter rubbish.
All personnel with whom I spoke were competent in German and English.
The towels and bed-linens were excellent.
The WiFi was good.
The room fixtures and fittings are monstrously user-unfriendly (the reception-desk staff agreed). "Design" has imposed panels of electrical rocker switches, black on black, remote from what they control. The bedside-tables' light fixtures are operated by switches disguised as drawer pull-out handles. I could not identify any electrical outlets / power-points near the head of the bed. I found one power-point on the underside of the over-desk lighting strip. Entering the room was a guessing-game, with a card-operated wall-panel bearing illegibly small microtext and buttons to push or lamps to signal occupancy status -- I could not tell which. The heating and cooling control inside the room bore graphics (snowflakes, sunbeams) but not directions. In the shower, water volume, temperature, and flow point -- overhead "waterfall" or hand-held ? -- all were operated by a single set of end-to-end differently rotatable cylinders, a guessing-game with scaldings. All so modern ! All so sleek ! All so showy ! All so unusable ! A traveller settling into a hotel room does NOT want puzzles and riddles ; she or he wants clear ways to make the room WORK. If visual cues to function are hopelessly out of fashion, hotels should supply guests at check-in with a pamphlet of operating instructions. But this hotel's management seems not to care to make guests comfortable.
My room was one of a row with windows facing onto a main traffic artery. Very noisy. Avoid 704 through 709.
Maribor is almost as far from the Adriatic coast of Slovenia as the country extends. Yet the hotel's restaurant makes a point of Adriatic cuisine. Credulously, I had linguine con frutti di mare, and I was punished : Marinara with fish-freezer scrapings (gummy squid-rings, pasty lumps of . . . shrimp ?) and six in-the-shell mussels, brown, shrivelled, rubbery, unfresh. A bad meal.

I stay here often, as it's the main central hotel in Maribor.
Ambient noise in the rooms. A humming which continues even with the card key removed from its socket. Switching the mains in the fuse box off didn't help. I sometimes stay in the larger rooms overlooking the river, which are quieter, as far as I can remember.
Price is a little bit higher market, but hotel like a concept great. Near the city center, with parking, big rooms and river view on terrace. We were lucky, our room was in front of main road with great soundproof windows and we didn't hear a noise.
