The bedroom was dated and so was the bathroom. There were fire doors all along the corridors which slammed shut when anyone went through them, i got woken up late in the evening and again early in the morning.

The curtain is too old that when you touch and move it, dust and debris spread accross the room. I was sneezing the first night and left it opened and untouched the following days. It should be changed with a new one with a vibrant color. This would add more depth and brighten the room. The hotel is understandably an old one and doing this will compensate adding to its style and character.
Towels are a bit old with loose ends.
There is a balcony in my room overlooking the sea and although the door is permanently closed, the door is made of glass, thus you are able to see clearly from your room the balcony, the road outside, the promenade and the sea which is really an amazing view. However, the balcony seemed not cleaned for long as dirt and pigeon poop are scattered all over.
The hallway is not a straight one and has a lot of fire doors.

Just needs a bit of an update and a bathmat as the bath was quite slippery when showering I had to hold onto the bath handle.

A little noisy from the road

A little tired in places, but for the money we paid we have no complaints and it was perfect for our needs.

The shower.

It’s grubby. Very shabby. It’s a maze to find your room. No facilities until restaurant opens for breakfast. 2 tea bags & 3 sachets of sugar in the room for two people. Breakfast was very basic & poor. Had to ask for toast and tea to be made. One bottle of ketchup for the whole restaurant to share. Tub of butter in the chiller to share. Orange and apple juice didn’t taste like orange SBS apple juice. All staff struggled with English. I called reception to get tve wifi password and the receptionist told me it was written outside the lift and put phone down. I called back and explained I was in my pjs and he reluctantly gave it to me. The phone line was absolutely awful. Only one towel for two to share and it was a hand towel. Tv didn’t work. It’s proper faulty towers without the chic and humour. My window was open wgen I arrived. Room freezing. Window didn’t shut properly so had a draft all night. My room backed into crown and anchor pub that had a blasting til 1am
