How to drive to accommodations by car:
On the highway E17/E40 direction “Gent” take the exit “Gent Centrum” (B401).
Follow “Alle Richtingen”, then turn left under the bridge and follow direction “Eeklo”.

This is the “Sint Lievenslaan”. Continue down this street “Charles de Kerkhovelaan, Godshuizenlaa, Marterlaarslaan, Einde Were” (1.6 mi).

At intersection “Einde Were - Nieuwewandeling” turn right, at the traffic lights (direction Centrum-Gevangenis).

You are now in the “Nieuwewandeling (N430)”, continue down this road to intersection “Brugsepoortstraat”. Turn right here.
Follow the road “Hoogstraat” until the end.

You will then arrive at “Poel”. Turn left, into the Drabstraat”

(!) Attention, you are now entering the car-free zone (!)

It is important to call the reception of the hotel to ask for an available parking space or pass along the license plate of the car.

Turn left, onto the “Jan Breydelstraat. Halfway down the street you will find the parking lot, on the left side.

Vom Hotel aus kann man die Stadt gut entdecken.
Pros:

Die Lage, das Zimmer war außergewöhnlich mit der hohen Decke und hatte eine schöne Aussicht.
Das Frühstück war in Ordnung

Cons:

Eingang ist nicht Kinderwagen gerecht (Treppen)
Geruch im Flur, wenn man aus dem Zimmer kam war modrig.
Toilette und Badezimmer waren getrennt, was ansich ja okay ist aber der Raum mit der Toilette war sehr klein und es gab kein Waschbecken zum Hände waschen.
Frühstücksraum befand sich im Nebengebäude, sodass man immer erst raus musste, mit Kleinkind bisschen umständlich mit dem an und aus ziehen.
Parksituation echt schwierig … und teuer.

Fijne kamers en vriendelijk personeel
Pros:

Ruime, nette kamers en zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

Ondanks dat de verwarming niet aan stond was het enorm warm op de kamer. We hebben de airco aangezet maar deze werkte ook niet goed.

good location near Gravensteen, near to the main attractions but a distance from train station. need take T1 then T2 to get to hotel. a bit cold in hotel but extra blanket is provided. nice building n they gave a room facing inner courtyard so is quiet

Een heel propere, gezellige kamer. Ook geen lawaai 's nachts/'s morgens.

Het was wat te warm in de kamer om te slapen. Airco kreeg ik niet aan.

Pros:

Location is perfect

Cons:

The photo of the room doesn’t match the original room. We had a long flight to Ghent. We were disappointed when at the hotel staff provide us different room types. Especially it was unacceptable when I wrote two weeks before about twins beds and extra bed for our kids. Nothings mat our expectations! Be careful with this hotel.

Heerlijk verblijf voor herhaling vatbaar.
Pros:

Heerlijke ruime suite (kamer 44) gelegen op de zolder van het prachtige statige pand. Via een trap is vanuit de kamer de torenkamer bereikbaar met een uniek 360 graden zicht op Gent. Perfecte bedden, zithoek, heerlijk bad, inloopdouche en separaat toilet. Keurige kamerverzorging en een goed zeer compleet ontbijt. Ligging aan de voet van (en uitzicht op) het gelijknamige kasteel is prachtig. Alles is op loopafstand.

Cons:

Ontbijt is in bijgebouw. Door de schuine wanden en balken op de kamer stoot je snel je hoofd (maar dat weet je vooraf).

Pros:

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal entre le château des Comtes et le Patershol. Le petit déjeuner est classique mais bien fourni. La chambre était très propre et spacieuse.

Le point négatif est le bruit. En effet, les murs et planchers communiquent très fort les bruits. Nous avons été fréquemment réveillés par des personnes déambulant toute la nuit dans leur chambre ou des conversations dans les chambres voisines

Hyvät sängyt ja suihku (4hlö huoneisto, kaikilla oikeat sängyt). Huoneessa pieni jääkaappi ja kahvinkeittovälineet. Erinomainen sijainti. Kiva pieni aulabaari.

Cons:

Käytävillä epämiellyttävä, outo haju, liittyi varmaankin kokolattiamattoihin, joita oli myös seinillä (!)
