Pretty expensive
Pros:

The décor is lovely and well placed

Cons:

The value for money was not amazing. The rooms are nice but the pool isn’t so big and the breakfast was very disappointing. Also thought the water was complimentary but paid 20 real a bottle not very honest to not say

Nice place, but not the experience of a boutique hotel
Pros:

- Staff were very kind and attentive
- House was beautiful and had amazing views from the rooftop
- Room was very comfortable and clean

Cons:

- Breakfast was extremely disappointing, and honestly more like what I would expect from a 3-star hotel somewhere random. There were very few options, including some packaged biscuits, and exactly the same things every day. There was no butter, only margarine, because "they ran out.”
- The location is up a steep hill and close to the entrance of a favela, which made getting an Uber to and from the hotel a hassle every single time. Not ideal, especially at night or when it was raining.
- The air conditioning in the room was very loud and made it difficult to sleep.

Cons:

La prima sera abbiamo trovato uno scarafaggio in camera e il personale, da noi avvisato, non è parso particolarmente preoccupato e l’insetto è rimasto sotto al letto probabilmente per tutto il resto del soggiorno. Abbiamo chiesto di poter cambiare camera ma non è stato possibile. La strada per arrivarci, oltre che in salita, è frequentata da personaggi discutibili e a causa della vicinanza con una favela molti autisti Uber rinunciano alla corsa

Fabulous gem in Ipanema
Pros:

The staff were exceptional. Every single one made our stay wonderful. Shout out to Jeff, Lana, and the lovely chap who sorted the bill and got our suitcases down the stairs!
Pretty hotel, lovely breakfast and great views from the roof!

Schöne Unterkunft. Nette Mitarbeiter. Lage bei Buchung nicht genau ersichtlich für Touristen.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Schön gestaltetes Hotel

Cons:

Sehr laut im 1. Stock von der Straße. Hotel liegt an der Zufahrtsstraße zur einer Community / Favela. Uber Fahrer wollten teilweise das letzte Stück nicht den Berg hochfahren. Teilweise sicheres Gefühl gerade wenn man alleine ist.

The neighborhood was unsafe feeling, the property had nothing to signify it was a hotel visible from the vehicle. We refused to unload our luggage and enter this extremely unorthodox situation. The lack of staff and signage should have been disclosed. O

El hotel es realmente un hidden gem, a 10 mins andando de Ipanema beach y al otro lado la Copacobana
Pros:

El equipo que lo lleva es super simpatico, explican lo que hace falta con todo el detalle y el servicio está muy bien. También la decoración en el interior es de mucho gusto y con estilo. Nos sentimos como en casa. El desayuno fantástico a tomar en el jardín tropical, acompañados de colibries y pequeños monos en medio de la metropole. El pool y el rooftop bar con vistas es algo muy especial. Hemos disfrutado mucho la estancia. Muy recomendable! Muchas gracias!
