Grinch horror
Pros:

Balloch overall was beautiful.

Cons:

Hotel was so disgusting we only stayed 1 night and not the 2, I originally paid for.
Please save your money and book somewhere else, ive never been so soul destroyed as was for my husbands birthday. What an absolute let down.

Local tulie inn did a fantastic breakfast

Everything it was totally disappointing the hotel was scruffy the bed was the most uncomfortable thing ive ever slept on and ive slept on floors i certainly wont be going back

Great location and fun atmosphere
Pros:

Great location, friendly staff and a clean and comfy room, perfect for a night's stop over. We had a great night in the bar, live music was brilliant.

Cons:

It is very old; the reception and corridors are in very poor condition, and the rooms are reasonably clean but very dated. There is a bar beneath the hotel with loud music playing late into the night; I didn't see any warning on the website about parties at the downstairs bar. Really focusing on cleanliness, painting the walls, and replacing the flooring and furniture would make a huge difference.

Great value for money
Pros:

The location is just three minutes from the station and so easy to find. The restaurant is great, the food is very good and inexpensive.
