Estadia muy buena en general pero con aspectos que mejorar

En general disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia en Masseria Corda di Lana. El hotel es muy bonito, está recientemente renovado y las instalaciones están muy bien cuidadas. Es un lugar especialmente recomendable para familias.

La piscina es grande y fantástica para los niños. El hotel también tiene acceso a una preciosa cala, perfecta para darse un baño en un entorno espectacular, aunque hay que tener en cuenta que no la recomendaríamos para niños pequeños o personas que no naden bien.

Uno de nuestros lugares favoritos fue el restaurante, situado en un precioso patio bajo los limoneros. Por la noche tiene muchísimo encanto y es un lugar realmente agradable para cenar.

También nos gustó mucho el esfuerzo del hotel por organizar experiencias diferentes por las noches. Durante nuestra estancia, una noche prepararon una cena al aire libre alrededor de la piscina, con música en vivo y un ambiente fantástico bajo las estrellas. Otra noche organizaron un espectáculo de magia, perfecto para los niños, acompañado además de aperitivos ofrecidos por el hotel. Son detalles que hacen que la estancia resulte especial y que disfrutamos muchísimo en familia.

Por las fotografías y la descripción esperábamos una propiedad algo más pequeña e íntima, con una experiencia más tipo boutique. En realidad, funciona más como un pequeño resort y había bastantes huéspedes. Dicho esto, está bien organizado y en ningún momento tuvimos la sensación de que el hotel estuviera excesivamente lleno.

En conjunto, es una masseria preciosa, con excelentes instalaciones, un ambiente muy agradable y una propuesta especialmente buena para unas vacaciones familiares.

Cons:

Nuestra principal experiencia negativa fue el bar de la piscina. Durante nuestra estancia había únicamente dos personas atendiendo y estaban claramente desbordadas por el número de huéspedes. En una ocasión tuvimos que esperar aproximadamente dos horas por dos sándwiches. Entendemos que puede haber momentos de mucha demanda, pero la gestión de la situación fue muy poco profesional. Cuando finalmente expresé mi descontento por la espera, la respuesta de la persona que parecía estar a cargo fue, literalmente, que “de todas formas mañana ya no trabajaría allí”. Nos pareció una respuesta completamente inapropiada para un hotel de este nivel y fue, con diferencia, el peor aspecto de nuestra estancia.

Otro punto que creemos que debería explicarse con mayor claridad es la playa privada mencionada en la descripción del hotel. Cuando fuimos, la mayor parte de la playa era pública y el espacio reservado para los huéspedes del hotel era muy reducido. La playa estaba extremadamente concurrida y, en nuestro caso, no pudimos disfrutarla prácticamente en absoluto. Nuestra expectativa, basándonos en la descripción del hotel, era bastante diferente.

Por último, reservamos una suite familiar para cuatro personas y nos sorprendió negativamente su tamaño. La habitación era bastante pequeña y, más que una suite familiar, nos pareció una habitación estándar en la que un sofá se transformaba en una litera. Para una familia de cuatro personas, el espacio resultaba demasiado limitado y no correspondía con lo que esperábamos al reservar una habitación denominada “suite familiar”.

Son aspectos que deberían mejorarse o, al menos, describirse con mayor precisión, porque el hotel en general es muy bonito y tiene muchas cosas excelentes.

Bellissimo soggiorno
Pros:

Bellissima masseria, personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Molto belle le due piscine, volendo c’è anche il campo da tennis. Tutto molto pulito e silenzioso. Rilassante davvero.

Cons:

Sarebbe stato bello avere accesso alla piscina oltre l’orario 11-19 ma per il resto tutto benissimo

Exceeded expectations
Pros:

Expectations were high thanks to very informative notifications. The actual experience was even more exceptional. The masseria is very well designed with plenty of space, air conditioning everywhere, and superb swimming pools, one with jacuzzi, bar with snack facilities. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, there is a mini bar, large walk in shower, safe and good storage. Even more gratifying was the helpful attitude of all the staff. Two special mentions, Samuele and Miriam who provided us with details of restaurants and beach lidos-plus making reservations for us. We checked in online. But we arrived early, stayed a while by the pool and barman informed us room was ready, the receptionist had already taken our bags to the room. And escorted us to the room and describe the facilities. Room was cleaned daily. Car parking very convenient under shady trees. Breakfast was very nice especially the cakes. We thoroughly recommend two restaurants nearby, La Locanda in Campi Salentina and Conte Cavour in Veglie.

Cons:

A large sign at entrance gates lit up at night, and our room didn’t have an outside shaded seating. Although there seating areas nearby.
