Quick trip to Canberra. Hotel was what was required. Didn't really have a need for facilities.
Pros:

Roof top bar - pity the clouds didn't cooperate for sunset. Close to tram stop.

overall comfortable and satisfactory with helpful staff, but some tired features
Pros:

Room good size and most facilities OK. Good renovation except for carpet. Bed comfortable. Breakfast OK but room very bland and tired.

Cons:

Carpet in room was stretched and had many bumps. Tired. No wine glasses (there were in small suite I was given last time). Door did not shut and lock automatically on leaving, had to pull it shut and when in room it often banged when other people opened and shit their doors. Air conditioning did not work properly. Chair foe desk too low, had to use all cushions to work, unstable. At breakfast would better if fruit was cut up, not served in large slabs.

I would stay at the Rex again when visiting Canberra.
Pros:

Central location and near cafes and restaurants. The bar on the 6th floor was an excellent venue for a drink or a light meal. Good views and atmosphere

Cons:

Room safe stopped working. We were unable to lock it. It later began working again!
Distance from the lift to the room on the first floor. Not really a problem.
Limited parking at the side of the hotel, but we managed to get a park both nights.

Great location close to the tram line
Pros:

We had an event at EPIC and the hotel was in the perfect location to attend. The tram is an easy walking distance away, just up from the hotel. The check in staff member was very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

We were excited to check out the roof top bar before our show but unfortunately it was closed for a private function.
