Awesome Stay
Pros:

Had a very nice stay. We were upgraded to a golf course outlook which was so lovely and peaceful to look over.
The staff were fabulous and very welcoming. Equally friendly on our departure.
The room had high end toiletries that smelt divine.
Huge room.

Cons:

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Great place for a mini getaway!
Pros:

The Sands is in an excellent location, very close to walking tracks and the beach and not too far from the main town area. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food, service and staff were lovely. As the accomodation wasn't full we were given an upgrade. We will continue to come back to The Sands when in Torquay.

Luxury with a decent pricetag
Pros:

This is our third time staying here and every time is an absolute luxurious treat!
From the extremely clean rooms, plush bedding and facilities, it has always been a special experience

We spent our honeymoon here and it was amazing
Pros:

The bed was so comfortable, and the room included some thoughtful additions - chocolate, bath salts and complimentary bar. It was so lovely having breakfast with a view of the golf course. We saw rabbits and kangaroos. Breakfast was also very good.

Cons:

Would have been nice for the pool to also have a sauna room, but this is very minor.

Visiting Family so out most of the day --- so adequate for purpose.
Pros:

Did not take breakfast as expensive compared to in town.
Hotel is comfortable--room size was good -- bit of a cheat saying NETLIX etc are available BUT it is not FREE thru the Hotel
Walk in shower brilliant -- as were the toiletries provided FOC.
A/C worked OK -- as was wintertime the heating function was adequate.
Bed comfortable and chairs also
Parking easy.
Golf course view relaxing.... and generally, the corridor area was quiet.

Cons:

No sandwiches available for a snack ?
Did not enjoy the Chicken Caesar salad in the Italian restaurant --- the actual salad was mashed up somehow so not crisp and the sauce was ??? --- also the chicken was dry and leathery.
Not good value for money.
No other food options but Italian? --- a more general Menu would be better -- and possibly some Asian dishes with spice.
Room service was patchy--- NO refills of bottled water daily ? No refills of biscuit snacks daily ?
One day the bathmat in the bathroom was missing?
Was not aware the swimming pool was closed during my stay until I arrived.
The tv opposite the bed is great if watching from the bed-- but if want to sit and watch from a chair while having a drink and maybe a biscuit the angle is no good. Can the tv be on a swivel ?

Hotel curato e con molti servizi all'inizio della Great Ocean Road!
Pros:

Camera di buone dimensioni e arredata con gusto.
Staff sempre gentile e disponibile (in particolare Tracy,spero si scriva così).
Abbiamo cenato, fatto colazione e pranzato nell'ottimo ristorante...tutto delizioso, in particolare una torta di mele spaziale!
Ci è stato permesso di tenere la camera oltre l'orario di check out dato che avevamo il volo la sera.

Cons:

C'è una piscina interna che però è aperta al pubblico o ai soci, quindi un po' affollata....ma per noi non è stato un problema.
