Well located hotel, too expensive, not a 4-star experience
Pros:

Hotel Ambassador is very conveniently located 1 min away from the railway station on the main street with most restaurants and shops.
We got a Matterhorn view room, which thanks to the clear weather led to a stunning Matterhorn view in the afternoon and morning.
Reception staff is nice and courteous.
Our double room size was OK.
Overall, a nicely located middle of the road hotel, too expensive for the experience.

Cons:

Hotel Ambassador claims to be a 4-star hotel, but can't live up to that rating.
The entire feel of the hotel is dark and dated.
The room was also way too dark (couldn't read the locker code in the closet, it needs a closet light), with a rotten bathroom door frame and mould. The upholstery of the chair needs a big redo, see pic. Shower head was good. Towel size adequate, but it wasn't fluffy. Poor amenities and pillows too bulky, no pillow choice.
Sauna experience was poor: it was too small and only open 08:00-20:00. I was kicked out by unpleasant staff at 19:58.
Breakfast room looked cheap, like an American motel, with average breakfast quality, no eggs made too order, very limited fruit selection, no humus and special dishes, etc.
So the hotel experience is quite middle of the road. It doesn't justify a double room rate of CHF 450 (around €500) a night, not even in Zermatt.

Pros:

Nos gustó mucho la ubicación, muy cerca de la estación de tren pero silencioso y tranquilo. La habitación era muy grande, con dos balcones y desde uno de ellos se veía el Matterhorn. El desayuno era variado y tenía una gran televisión conectada a las cámaras web que hay en lo alto de la estación Gornergrat para que vieses como estaba el tiempo por si querías tomar pronto el tren para ver los glaciares e ir de senderismo de altura. El personal era muy amable y varias de las personas hablaban español.

Pros:

Perfect location for train travel thru Zermatt. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was modern and comfortable. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the server was very attentive. Overall a very positive experience.

Cons:

The room was just a little warm for sleeping and we couldn't figure out how to adjust the radiator to cool it down a bit. The pillows were a little flat. Minor annoyances and the hotel staff would have helped if we had asked.

Awesome location & morning view of the Matterhorn
Pros:

Great location - 2mins from the train station.
Great view of the Matterhorn to watch light up at sunrise.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely clean spa area.

Cons:

A tiny bit of feedback - the hair dryer wasn’t very powerful bit of course this did not impact our stay.

Pros:

L'emplacement proche de la gare est pratique, sur demande une navette vient chercher les clients ce qui est pratiques avec les affaires de ski ! La chambre était très grande, il y avait une machine à café. La piscine est grande et propre, nous n'avons pas testé l'espace wellness.

Cons:

La salle du petit déjeuner au sous-sol...
