Well appointed room, spacious, great shower pressure. Lovely restaurant and bar downstairs.

A great heritage hotel
Pros:

This was a great place to stay in Napier. It is a very short walk to the beach (which has lots of interesting walks) and is close to lots of restaurants in the area. The hotel has lots of character and heritage and it was good to stay somewhere that wasn't the normal sterilised hotel room. The hotel has a small lift, but some rooms still had a few stairs to contend with. Overall, a memorable place to stay.

Cons:

Parking was $20- per day but the public-private parking area was free 6pm-8am and we would have only needed to pay $4-. We checked in at 5pm and were out of the car park by 9am. There were plenty of public parking spots available so Concierge should have explained this!

Delightful and memorable
Pros:

I loved this hotel. It felt so comfortable to be in, like home, but fancier. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The decor attention to detail is delightful. Real plants, library nook, art deco lamps and the beautiful verandah looking out to the bay made this hotel a memorable place to stay. I'd stay here again.

Cons:

We couldnt cast to the TV. A minor issue only..
