The absent night staff
Pros:

The hotel is well situated, breakfast was amazing.

Cons:

The gentleman who worked the night sift on my first day was not at the reception to open the door for me. It was locked and it was after midnight.
I was scared and he was rude

Pros:

The breakfast was good and varied, and the location was very convenient.

Cons:

The room looked more like a room from a two-star hotel.
The tiles in the bathroom were cracked, the mirror was darkened, cable hanging from the wall, broken sink, the plaster in the hallway had fallen off.
The night before, right across from the hotel, they were working at the construction site until almost midnight. There was very loud noise, and the sound insulation of the windows was very weak.
The photos on the booking site do not resemble at all what I found on site.
I have attached a few photographs showing how the room looked, including the hallway.

Great hotel with friendly service
Pros:

Comfortable room, great staff, perfect location. On a quiet street right next to a main road so very easy to access. The pool is small but a nice touch. The shower is excellent! It's clear that they updated the hotel with love and care.

Cons:

The toilet was not efficient and required a lot of flushing. ("All the toilets were replaced with joke toilets with holes only big enough for farts" --my spouse)

Has a great location, it was clean and comfortable. The overall staff were very friendly and helpful.
