Great hotel in Burry Port
Pros:

We have stayed here several times during the past 5 years and always enjoy our stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and made our stay easy and stress free. The new owners have spent money on updating it and refurbishments which have made a great improvement. We had some very enjoyable meals in the restaurant in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It's close to the town, harbour and Pembrey Country Park. Would highly recommend.

Cons:

Nothing.

Great staff.
Pros:

Very convenient location for our needs

Cons:

Through no fault of the hotel it was an exceptionally hot 24 hours (July 2026 heat wave) and our bedroom caught the early morning sun and the air con (fan) had no chance of coping with the heat.

It’s ideal for a short stay but it’s basic
Pros:

Fried breakfast was delicious. Food in the restaurant was lovely. Beautiful soap & showers in the bathroom.

Cons:

There are no staff in the breakfast room so we had to wait 20 minutes before being able to order a hot drink. Limited choice for drinks & food for breakfast. Coffee too strong. Not enough milk served.
We had an executive double room, which was lacking… no plug sockets near the bed, no full length mirror, no hair dryer, no air conditioning or fan.
Hotel had functions on both of the nights we stayed, which because the 2 bars were connected made it loud in the restaurant. Also the doors to the rooms are heavy so they slam shut & the walls are thin, so we heard the tv which room 6 had on all night. Our bed was extremely firm which we were unused to.

Lovely hotel with great happy staff
Pros:

Lovely facility with exceptional staff.

Cons:

Unfortunately with such extreme temperatures, the air con in the room wouldn’t operate without the light being on which made sleep impossible.

Pros:

I had a lovely two night stay. The room was pleasant and well stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits (not always the case at some places). The staff were very efficient and friendly. It was a very busy weekend for them but they managed to fit me in the dining room, where I had a lovely meal, reasonably priced. On leaving Sunday morning my taxi failed to turn up - no problem said the proprietor, my husband will take you!! What a lovely couple and the lift was much appreciated. An excellent place to stay if you are visiting Pembrey Circuit or any of the local attractions 10/10 from me.
