Très mauvaise expérience
Pros:

L’accueil à notre arrivée.

Cons:

La chambre dans la literie était d’un confort sommaire. Située au 1er étage donnant sur une rue ainsi que sur un parking entre nuit aurait été brève en raison du va-et-vient incessant de voitures une grande partie de la nuit sans compter que les rideaux des 4 fenêtres n’étaient pas du tout occultants. La surface disponible pour marcher dans la chambre était ridicule l’espace entre le lit et les fenêtres réduit à rien.
En terme de désagréments et celui-ci n’est pas des moindres j’ajouterais que lorsque j’ai demandé où se trouvait le pain au petit déjeuner à un membre du personnel, je me suis vu demander si j’étais bien client de l’hôtel je dois dire que j’ai dû du faire preuve de beaucoup de retenue pour ne pas m’énerver tant ce comportement discriminant et pour le moins inapproprié m’a profondément choqué.

Amazing Appenzell
Pros:

We loved everything! The location, the staff, the room, the breakfasts…. We can find fault with nothing. The Appenzell Guest Card was a nice perk as we stayed there for over three nights. It gave us free train and cable car rides in the area around there. The hiking is fantastic!

Cons:

The wasps that wanted to share our meals with us.

Es war ein gelungener Kurzaufenthalt mit allen Annehmlichkeiten die wir uns gewünscht haben.
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt zentral im schönen Städtchen Appenzell. Das Restaurant, welches auch der Frühstückraum ist, könnte schöner nicht sein. Das Buffet am Morgen war sensationell und die Bedienung toll. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer Richtung Kronberg war fantastisch und die Lage sehr ruhig. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl und für kurze Zeit wie Zuhause.

Cons:

Im Zimmer fehlt ein zweites Abfalleimer im Zimmer. Die Betten waren etwas fest durchgelegen.

For a really authentic Appenzell expreionce, this charming family orientated hotel is a must.
Pros:

This is a family run hotel, the owner was always around, helpful and very welcoming. It has a really authenic Swiss feel. The location is excellent, right on the main square. The breakfast was outstanding, with fresh bakery on site. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and with a complimentary Appenzell guest pass, you can ride the local trains ans cable cars for free.

Cons:

Minor point, there was a heatwave and no air conditioning - that said, it would be difficuly to put air con in such a beautiful old tradtional Swiss building.

Es ist eine hervorragende, freundlich und persönlich geführte, toll ausgestattete Adresse mit ausgezeichnetem Frühstück!

Cons:

Zimmer mit Richtung Landsgemeindeplatz sind am Abend und in der frühen Nacht laut wegen dem Strassencafé im EG, das muss man einfach wissen.

Pros:

Parking derrière l'hôtel. Chambre agréable, possibilité d'avoir un petit déj a la boulangerie d'en face gratuitement (sur demande la veille) si on n'a pas le temps de le prendre à l'hôtel ou si on se retrouve en dehors des horaires du petit-déjeuner. Hôtel placé idéalement au centre de la ville au départ de la rue commerçante. Personnel très coopératif et sympa. Très bon restaurant.

Cons:

Parking un peu petit. Pas de climatisation si vous arrivez en période de grosse chaleur.
