Pros:

It was nice and a good place to spend our anniversary

Cons:

Once we got what we had asked for, we asked for a large double instead of a twin and on arrival was presented with a twin room, they did move us to a king-size bedroom that wasn't even listed as a plan, the king bed wasn't an option on its own and was always lumped with something else. The dinner package that we booked was the buffet only and we had to pay extra for the restaurant, which is what we originally wanted. It would make sense for them to have this listed as a separate plan as this could lead to problems if the restaurant was not available on arrival due to over booking.
The bar was barely staffed, it opened at 5pm but we had to keep asking to the reception staff to go and find the bar tender every time we wanted a drink.
Generally short staffed for a large hotel and not receptive to understand the mistakes made. I know it is not peak season for them but neither is it off season like Hakuba is. Slightly more attention to detail and a few more staff and this would have been far better.
