This hotel is okay. The location is amazing and the staff was nice, but that's about all it offered in terms of positives. The rooms are small and the bathroom was cramped and the showers don't have any doors that reach the floor so every time we showered the whole bathroom floor got wet. I would say this hotel is sufficient for a very short visit.

We come back every year and we LOVE it here. The staff is fantastic from housekeeping to the parking attendant and of course the front desk. Roomy absolutely clean rooms and walking distance to everything

All the rooms are very basic shoeboxes. The downstairs rooms have an attached private little garden patio, which is nice if you have a dog with you. However, the patio of room 127 is half the size of all the others at the full price. It’s also the end room, farthest from the front desk/ice/entrance, which they should not have put someone in who let them know in advance that I have a mobility disability. Also being on the end and not having the insulation of being surrounded by other rooms, it was extremely hot, requiring me to ice myself all night long, with the sweating preventing me from getting any sleep. I don’t know if the bathroom is smaller in that room as well or if its due to the recent renovation, but I had to walk through the shower to get to the toilet. And the minifridge was so warm, it actually heated up my drinks I brought in an insulated bag.

Our stay at Riviera Beach House was wonderful from the moment we arrived. We were traveling with our 4 month old baby and although there were no elevators on property for guests to use, the staff went above and beyond to help with our luggage and storing our stroller when we weren’t using it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. While the rooms were on the smaller side, we were still able to fit a pack n play (provided by the hotel), and we made it work. The location can’t be beat. You’re steps from the beach, wharf, funk zone and state street shopping/restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!
Cute hotel, clean, great location. Pet friendly. I just felt it was way overpriced for what you get. For 600+/night with valet only parking...i would expect a bigger room, breakfast options, coffee/tea in the room, etc. If you want to pay that price you can go to almost any other coastal city in CA and get more for your money.
I've stayed at the Riviera Beach House on two business trips now. This is the perfect spot to stay on my last night of these trips, since it is located near numerous restaurants, stores, bars and breweries. A relaxing place to stay close to things to do is a much appreciated thing to have before being on flights for most of the next day.
The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and have made my stays here that much better. Thank you Chloe, Niah, Tristan, Calissa, and Anthony! (sorry if I spelled any of those wrong) If I find myself vacationing here instead of on business, this will be my top pick.
