The Highfield Hotel
Pros:

Really clean & super spacious room with really big bed. Very friendly staff & great location for Leeds Bradford Airport!

The staff were very helpful

Cons:

The smell was like wet dog wet mop and cheesy feet . The room was very outdated and needed a full renovation.
The room was ground floor and the windows were all open and wouldn't close as it had no handle the room was freezing and we would not use the bath or shower if you paid me. There was a bar of soap and what hotel in 2026 uses a bar of soap.the trouser press and iron were not working and the last pat test was 2004 the other table top ironing board was also broken. The remote was not working.

Very reasonable. Some improvements would make it much better.
Pros:

Clean and very large room. Bathroom very nice, great shower - looks newly decorated. Room service very quick. Staff efficient and polite. Comfortable sofa and chairs. 15% off voucher for pub next door was a nice bonus - food was good. Price of room is very reasonable. Peaceful hotel and a great nights sleep.

Cons:

Pest control / rat or mouse trap outside front entrance. Might be necessary but you could make it less obvious - tuck it behind the bin. Shower a bit slippy - consider a shower mat. Provide more milk in the rooms so people don't have to come and ask.

Very poor all round
Pros:

Not a lot

Cons:

The musty smell, badly staind carpet in room, TV needed tuning
Breakfast not very professional and the staff dressed very casual,breakfast ingredients poor quality very cheap, more like a work canteen, very dated.

Pros:

Friendly staff, very helpful, and pleasant. DVD collection to use in room & plenty of books too. Large room very spacious, pub with food and entertainment, live band Friday I was there and huge screens & tv,s for sport, pool tables, beer garden. Nice to see a busy pub doing well👍

Pros:

We enjoyed our stay it was central to where we were attending a party. The room was large and light and comfortable.

Cons:

We ordered breakfast but unfortunately we had been given the time between 8.00a.m and 11.00, we went for the 8.00 slot which fit in with our travel plans but nothing was ready, so had no time for breakfast. Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

It was ok convenient for the funeral we needed to attend
Pros:

I thought the rooms were good but the lightening was not good
It would be better if you had individual bed side lights

I felt the reception area needs to be upgraded. It does not smell very pleasant and the devote could be updated to make you feel more welcome and comfortable

Cons:

As above web site was deceiving. We thought we could get a proper breakfast not a brown paper bag with items for breakfast
