Beautiful views and a spacious apartment, but cleanliness and amenities need improvement
Pros:

I like the views, absolutely beautiful. Bed super comfortable. The apartment is super nice overall.

Cons:

Only one soap and toilet paper were provided. There was no shampoo or conditioner, unlike most standard accommodation. There was hair on the blankets, and they looked like they had just been thrown into the wardrobe rather than folded or arranged properly. Some of these are small details, but together they affect the overall experience.

Cons:

Carpet was disgusting.. original 40 yrs old, stretched, stained & frayed at all doorways.
Both original bathrooms..taps lose/dirty, old shower roses, stained toilet bowls, clogged ceiling vents, 'peeling' cupboard fronts, mould in corners of shower recess.
Kitchen cupboards not clean. Floor had not been washed.
Sinks not cleaned. Fridge not wiped out. I cleaned inside of plastic bin with boiling water..filth stuck on every side..never been cleaned out.
Bed in main bedroom far too small for today's standards.
A lot of glass surfaces furniture, ALL covered in dust.

Always good to stay at the Southern Cross - but the apartment needs some TLC.
Pros:

Great location and easy access and I like the new spa and sauna area.

Cons:

The apartment needs some better amenities - the microwave is rusty and old, the stove doesn't work on all of the burners and is also rusty. The washing machine and dish washer both leak.

Fantastic apartments, great views and facilities
Pros:

We stayed on the 5th floor, beautiful views of the ocean, the apartment was two bedroom with a full kitchen, laundry, lounge room, quite a large apartment. Staff was lovely, and facilities were fantastic, gym, spa, sauna, tennis court and heated pool. Town centre was about 700m walk. My only complaint is I had to leave

I would stay here again but hope the owners update the units soon.
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent position, right across the road from the beach & a short walk into Burleigh Heads. The units are quite spacious with decent furniture. Our unit was carpeted throughout which made it cosy.

Cons:

The unit was very tired with paint peeling off, mould in the wardrobes & could use some new beds.
