Pros:

Stayed 5 nights at the Deer Lake Horizon Hotel, using Deer Lake as a base to visit Gros Morne and the surrounding area. Had to eat out for dinner as no evening meal was provided. Limited options to eat out in Deer Lake. Room was a good size with a separate seating area and a small sink, microwave and fridge. Bathroom was a good size. Rooms were clean and room service was good.

Cons:

One of the two lifts was out of order for 3 of the 5 days we were there. A little inconvenient! Also we had to ask reception to reactivate our door key card on two consecutive days as the card was only activated for a 1 night stay even though we had booked for 5 nights!!

Friendly staff, large and clean room. It was all as expected. Amazing breakfast! There was a great variety of options to choose from, and everything tasted delicious.

A good place to stay.
Pros:

It was a nice family room to stay in and my kids loved the pool! The breakfast had the best options of any other place we stayed on the island.

Cons:

There was a boil order going on (I know that wasn't the hotel's fault), but no additional considerations were given regarding price (though we were given a bottle of water on check-in).

location is perfect

Cons:

walls and floors are as thin as paper - you can hear the people in the rooms upstairs walking across the floor, you could hear the person in the room next to us snoring (very loudly). The air conditioning unit was so loud it was not possible to sleep.
