Prima en betaalbare overnachtingsplek voor een bezoek aan de mooie Middeleeuwse stad Laon
Pros:

De kamers waren schoon en netjes. De buitenkant en de omgeving zagen er wat verwaarloosd uit.
Het ontbijt was zeer goed (brood, croissants, yoghurt, vruchten) en werd ook steeds bijgevuld, echter alle bestek was vies (beide ochtenden).
Je kon buiten en binnen ontbijten.

Cons:

Het vieze bestek en de wat troosteloze parkeerplaatsen en omgeving.

Zeer teleurstellend verblijf
Pros:

De locatie. Qua auto heel goed bereikbaar allemaal.

Cons:

Wij kregen kamer 12 toegewezen en die leek totaal niet op de foto's op Booking.com. De kamer voelde vies aan: de badkamer oogde niet schoon, veel oppervlakken waren plakkerig en verspreid door de kamer zaten meerdere beestjes (onder andere oorwurmen, pissebedden en kleine kevertjes). Dat er met een open raam af en toe een insect binnenkomt begrijp ik, maar dit ging om zeker tien beestjes verspreid door de kamer.

Daarnaast was er in de kamer helemaal geen wifi-bereik, terwijl het hotel hier juist mee adverteert. Voor mij was een goede internetverbinding belangrijk omdat ik ook moest kunnen werken.

Ik heb dit direct op de eerste dag gemeld. Eerst werd gedaan alsof er niets aan de hand was. Pas nadat ik bleef aandringen liep een medewerker mee en werd bevestigd dat er inderdaad geen wifi-bereik was. Er werd gezegd dat ik een half uur moest wachten omdat het opgelost zou worden, maar dat gebeurde niet. Vervolgens kreeg ik te horen dat de technische dienst pas de volgende dag aanwezig zou zijn. Een andere kamer dichter bij het wifi-punt krijgen was toen niet mogelijk.

Tijdens ons verblijf heb ik het hotel ook nog per e-mail benaderd, maar ook daarop kwam geen enkele reactie.

De volgende dag heb ik het opnieuw gemeld. Opnieuw werd er in eerste instantie weinig gedaan en kreeg ik vooral geïrriteerde reacties van twee medewerkers. Uiteindelijk kreeg ik toch een andere kamer (kamer 19). Opvallend genoeg zei een medewerker daarbij dat "daar meestal een betere verbinding is", wat de indruk wekte dat het probleem al bekend was.

Kamer 19 was een wereld van verschil: deze leek wél op de foto's op Booking.com, was schoon, netjes en had wel een goede wifi-verbinding. Dat maakt het extra teleurstellend dat we niet direct een passende kamer hebben gekregen.

Het grootste probleem was uiteindelijk niet alleen de slechte eerste kamer, maar vooral de manier waarop met onze klachten werd omgegaan en het volledig uitblijven van een reactie op onze e-mail.

Ideaal voor een doorreis
Pros:

Vriendelijke follow up, was een last minute ingeving en ondanks het late aankomstuur van ons konden we alsnog inchecken.
Transparante communicatie ivm geen airco.
Ontbijt was ook uitgebreid.

Cons:

Pas de chambre pmr alors que cela a été demandé explicitement et n' a pas été respecté au vue de la loi 2002-2 pour les personnes à mobilité réduite et donc pas de douche. Petit déjeuner à revoir car quasiment vide dès le début de service. Amabilité à l' accueil est a revoir car pas avenant !
