Stylish boutique hotel in central location with great breakfast
Pros:

Mix of old historic building with modern interiors cleverly achieved; very stylish throughout. Original 20th century artworks (sculpture and mural) on the stairway. Helpful staff. Great location for visiting Centro Historico.
Excellent breakfast buffet (including authentic Oaxaca cheese) as well as delicious hot dishes freshly prepared and served by the brilliant all female team. Traditional crockery a pleasure to use.

Cons:

Short term notice that some facilities were not available however we were offered alternatives nearby.
The lighting in the rooms is very atmospheric, but not bright. There was no window in the room except shutters in the doors which enabled others to look in; however this wasn't really a problem as we were mostly out.

Ideal for a short stay in central Mecico City in a comfortable and well-designed hotel bearing in mind the possible nois
Pros:

Very central location just around the Zocalo area. A very well-preserved historic building in the Centro Histórico area of Mexico City. The design of the hotel and the guest rooms is very nice and contemporary.

Cons:

Due to the external restaurants on the Ground Floor area, it is a very noisy area with noise disturbance until ca. 11pm at night (music bands, guest conversations). All the guest rooms face the inner courtyards with those restaurants on the Ground Floor. Also, in our case, the guest room door was the only light source with built-in windows which rendered the guest room slightly dark at times. Lastly, unfortunately, there have been 2 external events within the hotel during our 3-day stay which made it not possible for us to use the roof top and pool area and even hindered us in on case to access our guest room altogether as the event (wedding) took place in the public area leading to the guest rooms.
