Good stay, to expensive.
Pros:

Service and cleaning were excellent. The view is wonderful.

Cons:

The find a good restaurant in the hotel area is almost impossible. This leaves you with the option of dining at the hotel at a VERY expensive costs.
The hotel is missing a beach which guests can swim, causing to travel to nearby beaches.

vue exceptionnelle sur le Douro.
Chambres très confortables et très bien insonorisées.
petit déjeuner incroyablement riche en produits locaux de qualité.
2 belles piscines à débordement avec de belles vues sur l'environnement.

Cons:

Si le lieu a tous les atouts pour nous inviter à la sérénité et au repos. Ce n'et pas tout à fait ce que nous avons ressenti. il y a beaucoup de bruit dans les parties communes : Personnes qui téléphonent dans la salle du petit déjeuner et au bord de la piscine, tables bruyantes au diner, ados qui chahutent dans les ascenseurs...

Excellent for us and 2 younger children (7 and 4). Room, stafff, hotel was excellent!
Pros:

Design, location, spaciousness, the staff

Cons:

It would be even better if there was sun bed drinks/food service so you needn’t have to get up and go to the bar where people are eating to order a drink or a snack.
Maybe some other snack options for around the pool would be good too. Especially for the children but also to satisfy adults too.

Le design, l’a végétation, le service top, le personnel impeccable digne dans 5 étoiles. Le petit déjeuner est complètement dingue, magnifique.

Cons:

Le lit pour ma fille de 12 ans était un lit pliable donc pour un tel établissement cela est un peu dommage. Nous avons eu une météo exceptionnelle lors de notre séjour, mais en cas de mauvais temps, l’espace piscine intérieur et spa reste trop petit .

Overpriced for the value but a great view
Pros:

The views were amazing and the pools were very nice. They had a nice marshal music box in the room. The front desk staff was very good and the staff in general was very good to us.

Cons:

It was overpriced for the value. It says it’s a five star hotel but everything screams 3,5 stars. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The rooms needed repair. The light fixtures and furniture were IKEA level. The eggs at breakfast were terrible. The rest of breakfast was good. They positioned themselves as a wellness hotel but too many kids running around and making noise. It felt more like a family hotel.

Not a 5 star experience / family hotel not luxury
Pros:

Location and view of Douro river valley is amazing.
Atmosphere is rather of a family hotel. Not a 5star luxury experience. Too many kids running around.
Rooms are okay but small. Whole property lacks repair and maintenance. Lots of dents and scratches all around. Furnishing is not 5-star. Materials are rather cheap.
Service is okay but not 5-star either. They need to train their staff to be more attentive to details and make it a unique experience.
Value for money is the biggest issue. It feels way overpriced and even at breakfast (which is a buffet) they’re charging extra for some items on the menu.
